I need to invest in something like that. Currently have all my electronics inside of a light drybag inside my sling. It works, but it's a little cumbersome. I hiked all the way to the end of the preserve and fished my way back. It could have been a combination of the sun coming up, but the fishing there at the end was the best.

Hello Eric. I have watched a few of your vids just now and just subscribed. Nice work. You mentioned a few nymphs you were using. Are you adding any weight to your set up? How deep were you nymphing? I will be there for a few days in July so just hoping to get rigged up for success. Also, have you had any luck with dry flies on the McCloud? Thx.
@driftstone2 жыл бұрын
Hi Doug, I will sometimes add split shot to add weight, but I'm most usually trying to get my flies down into the strike zone (down near the bottom where the current is slower). So whatever depth that may be plus the speed of the current will tell me how much weight I need. I tend to nymph most of the time and want to spend more time using dries this year, but I have heard of people doing really well in the late afternoons on dries there.
