I think the poster, rockinfreakapotamus, means that John is high on music. This is one of my favourite chili pepper songs. Partly because of its haunting atmosphere but each live version you see is a very different experience from the previous because the song leaves so much room for improvising.

I just use the phase for the solo's, the delay/reverb is on the entire song. I set the phase at around 9 oclock, so very slow-moderate sweep

It's hard to beat Slane, that DVD made me into a die hard Red Hot Chili Pepper fan. The one in Hyde Park is proably my favorite, that one or Slane, but this one is up there. It's great.

I'm no John hater, as most people know! :) John is one of my 2 favorite guitarists, i just get sad when people purposely act niiave to say they know he doesn't do drugs because they don't want to believe it. Flea said him and John smoked pot in 2006, during the making of Stadium Arcadium. John said in a later 2006 magazine that he will always be an addict but he has it under control and declined comment the last time he smoked. And he was seen smokin at ATP.

and you can compare albums if they are a different style. The album that appeals to what style of music you like is the one you choose as the superior album. Albums like Mother's Milk, BSSM, Freaky Styley, and Uplift are gold! and Californication and BTW are really bad ass also.
