RHCP - Don't Forget Me LIVE AT LA CIGALE (FRANCE)
20/11/2013 : It's fixed. Thanks for your patience.
19/11/2013 : Hi. I am not responsible for the damaged sound, this video was appreciated and worked for 5 years already. I think it's censorship of KZbin. I will try to fix the problem very soon. Be patient, sorry for that.

I rate the Peppers up there with Queen, Led Zepplin, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, they have a beautiful creative signature sound Flea, Chad, Anthony and John, they and only they are the essential hardcore loving heart of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

@@mariomora2616You are right, while I love John, Stevie could run circles around John while doing jumping jacks and still beat John on his worst day, Stevie's worst day that is. I'm from dallas and feel music lost a legend of all legends in 1990. If you ever get a chance, go watch Videos of Vaughan warming up and damn, it only takes him about 20 seconds before he's playing rhythm and lead all at once. He could play both without another guitar if he wanted. He breaks strings during live shows and still plays every note and lead without even a blink of an eye while the roadie is desperately trying to get him to change strings. He's like, "no problem man, I got this". Can you imagine if he was alive today, he'd still be able to out play any of today's guitarist, including John. Stevie was a true artist, he played with NO rules. To this day, i think how bad it sucks that he's not here.

Frusciante just unleashed a beast in this solo. Kiedis couldnt contain himslef and neither could I. suprised that the crowd was rather dull :/ Josh is still young and I believe that he has the potential to be as good as father John. I think it's a combination of confidence and marketing. Josh knows that he's up there "filling in" for the guitarist that built the sound of RHCP. I'm sure that plays a factor when he's up there in front of the crowds. I'm also willing to bet that the original members and their management team decided to downplay Josh's presence in the band because the attraction for concert goers is RHCP's prime catalog, and not Josh's playing.

Very rarely a band buts on a performance when they get complete in the zone. Lost in the musical energy and soul. John Frusciante is without a doubt one of the most underrated and underappreciated musicians. One of my top 5 all-time favorite guitarists! Absolute genius, not to mention that he is also a huge inspiration for so many who may be suffering from a heroin addiction that they are trying to overcome! I personally am coming up on 5 years clean after being dependent on opioids for over 20 years. What started out as a severe, work-related lower back injury in the year 2000, when the "Opioid Epidemic" was still being perpetrated on so many individuals who, like me, had absolutely no idea what I was getting into when the Dr's kept throwing Vicodin and Percocet at me. Because I was also one of the owners of the company, I was literally working 85 hours a week; and my ex wife's father was my business partner (and primary investor to get the restaurant up and running) so there was a lot of pressure on me to succeed. Furthermore, my ex-wife and I had a daughter in 1998, so I also had my baby girl to provide for! I couldn't afford the back surgery at the time and Health insurance was too expensive back then, so the only solution that my Dr came up with was to get me completely addicted to pain medication and when my tolerance got to the point where I was literally eating 20 to 30 pills a day, that's when they decided to cut me off, cold-turkey! I ended up finding a connection for OxyContin 80mg, which I was still chewing up like 5 or 6 a day! Luckily for me, the person I was getting them from (god rest his soul) was an older guy with Pancreatic Cancer. And what he said helped the most with his anxiety and his nausea was to smoke weed. So I would get him a $50 quarter ounce of some primo reefer and in exchange, he'd give me 20 of the 80's (Effectively making them $2.50 ea!) For anyone who knows about Oxy's, this price was absolutely unbelievable considering that the going "Street Value" where I'm from in Rochester, NY - was between $40 and $60 per pill depending on who was selling them.... So I'd take 5 of the 20 pills and sell them for $25 ea, which people were happy to pay, that put $75 profit in my pocket and left me another $50 to re-up on the weed! That was a nice run while it lasted; the poor guy passed away about a year after I met him... by then I was screwed and it was at that time when I first was introduced to Heroin. To make a long story short, after my wife and I split up, I was already heartbroken and had lost my business. Then just a couple years later, in 2004, I came home one night and found my mom's dead body. She died of an accidental overdose of Methadone tablets and Xanax. (Her doctor switched her from Morphine to Methadone thinking it would be more effective and "safer" for her to take because she had just found out that she had lung cancer a couple years prior which eventually spread to her stomach and liver, but she kept this info from my brothers and I. I didn't find out until afterwards that she was sick. That traumatic event resulted in me getting diagnosed with PTSD, plus I had also recently been diagnosed as having Bipolar disorder, which was completely untreated until I was in my mid 20's, but I always sensed that there was something going on with my mental health, even as a kid. I would have these long bouts of terrible depression with intermittent episodes of hypomania, whereby I would become very impulsive, would exhibit extreme symptoms of OCD and social anxiety, but once I became addicted to heroin, my mental health also plummeted. There were many times where I thought about ending my life. However, the one thing that kept me going and filled me with the perseverance and the motivation and the will to finally get clean was thinking about my daughter! This isn't the first time I have managed to remain clean, but it is the longest by a few years! The reason I wrote all of this is because if there's anyone out there who may be currently struggling with addiction and/or with mental health disorders; please know that it IS POSSIBLE to get clean and to completely turn your life around! Frusciante has been such a huge motivation and inspiration for me.. if he could stop using after he nearly died several times, then I thought that I could do it too! My life isn't perfect by any means, but I can honestly say that some of my "worst days" clean are by far better than any of my "best days" when I was strung out, homeless, and in and out of jail for shoplifting to support my habit! It starts with one simple decision.. you have to WANT to stop using - no judge, not your spouse, not even your kids can "make you" stop using when you're in active addiction. For some people it may be the spark that they need, but ultimately, the decision to get clean has to come from WITHIN. You have to WANT something BETTER for yourself! YOU DESERVE BETTER, You are worth it! And if no one else has told you that they loved you lately then let me say this: I love YOU and I know your struggle! Don't GIVE UP on yourself yet, you'd be surprised just how IMPORTANT you really are to those who truly do care for you and love you. Be easy on yourself and please, be kind to yourself and to one another.

Didnt realize how they changed things up with the bass strumming like a rhythm guitar and chad sort of like the bass and drums in on with john colouring everything. Anthony doing his stuff.

Everybody is sweating with minimal clothes on, but John stays ice cold and needs an extra button up. Even with those hot hands, he manages to stay chilled. What a legend.

If you play instruments with your friends, or are in a band, or both, you know that special feeling when everyone is synced up in the pocket and you seem to temporarily gain some type of telepathic form of communication between each other. In those moments, some of the best music happens. But more often than not, the people who aren’t playing and instead just listening to your music may not notice, or simply say to themselves “that was pretty good!” But there is a level beyond even that. It’s reserved for only the most committed bands. Those who have been grinding in both the studio and touring for several years…making music together, feuding with each other and then making up, seeing each others faces day in day out while riding around on a bus driving from state to state to state to country to country and so on. It doesn’t happen every show. It can’t happen every show. Some shows will seem great but be absolute flops in the minds of these experienced musicians. Something was just off…that aforementioned ‘telepathy’ was being drowned out by static. But every once in awhile, that telepathy kicks in…the energy from a seemingly cosmic place envelops the band. And there is so much of it flowing through them that even the non musicians get a taste of that special feeling that keeps us musicians always coming back for more. It’s these moments that pass the torch to those who aspire to be musicians themselves. The “life changing” performance that gets someone to dust off their old guitar or buy a new one for the first time, or to finally take those vocal courses, pick up drums, whatever flavor calls out to you. You may think I’m spewing some hippy nonsense. Maybe I am. But those who know what I’m talking about are going to read this and be nodding their heads. It’s so f*ng awesome.

you should look for Black Pistol Fire live performances, it's not quite on the same level but they are one of the only recent band to give these kind of emotions. They are a 2 man band and look posessed in all their performances
