Art is something that we cannot express verbally and in my opinion we can't even judge art in terms of what is good and what is not good. Yes, lots of people do that, label things, categorize what is great or not. For me, I am opened to listen to lots of different sounds from whoever. I personally think that Jimmy Page creates music expectionally fantastic. He puts soul into it which is what matter in my opinion. It's not about how complicate a song is, how many different notes, harmonies, chords a song has. It's about truly expressing yourself.

It never ceases to amaze me why people of limited ability have to belittle those who have gone to great lengths in order to attain it. Constructive criticism is great but one or two of the posts I have just had the misfortune to read are anything but. Music is about self expression, not duplicating what someone else has done before. If that was the case none of us would ever bother going to live events. What would be the point? I can well remember trying to master this track. I ought to, it was one of the first I ever attempted on the guitar but is most certainly not one of the first at which I could even remotely claim to have succeeded. I pestered a great many 'Axe Masters' to "teach me to play 'Stairway'". Funny how every one of them not only had different concepts of how various parts of this classic should be performed but that how their particular way was right. Great vid Chloé, oh! and by the way. Love the channel name.

Nicely put Geoff! I wish I could play it half as well as she does. I think a lot of people are put off posting vids by the negative and sometimes quite offensive comments from muppets. I bet most couldn't get near playing 'stairway'. My guitar guru was a session musician from the 60's who knew how to play originals from that era EXACTLY. However, when he played he often made little changes to songs from one week to the next….. because he could. Rarely played any song note for note when we jammed, although taught me note for note for the last three years until his untimely death recently. Its part of the fun growing with music. To the moron, mog dor, making offensive comments about a 50 yr old , I am nearly 62 and am DEEPLY offended that you seem to suggest ANYONE should only communicate with their own age groups on social media,I suggest you are clearly sick and need professional help.

pjgumby theres absolutely no soul put into her performance. coming from a guitarist myself, you can very clearly see that her dad makes her do it so that he can tell his friends "my daughter can play stairway" shes just going through the motions. shes not in time with the recording in several areas as well. am i jealous? no i can play the damn overrated song too lol and no i wont post a video because i know damn well that in 5 minutes after posting a rude comeback it wont matter anymore.

I think she's just young and majorly accomplished. But she has played the song almost flawlessly, given her age. But you are right, she's too young yet to know how to give "soul" to the music she makes, that will come with time, and time she has, but you have to admit those young digits she has sure did do the job. I'm a classical guitarist myself, I could play all night back in the day, but with stiff digits now, on a rainy day I can hardly play the way I used to. I admire her for her skill, for those fingers that are a bit too quick in some spots, but I would do anything to have that agility now, and that energy. She did just fine, and she'll only get better.
