I honestly tear up a little bit every time I watch this. The game is clearly a labor of love and so was the run. My heart is filled with HYPE every time!

Most Megaman fan games I see are absolute love letters to the series. One I am very fond of is Megaman 8-bit Deathmatch.

You can obviously tell both of them are quite nervous at the start, but let me just congratulate you guys for the flawlessly executed casting and play through. Creed, much respect to you man, you are inspirational to say the least. Thank you for having the courage to back your homie up when he needed you the most. Also, Kuumba, inhuman reflexes, dude. If y’all wanna see what i’m talking about, just watch the Skullman fight @7:50. Peace out guys, and thank you for the awesome entertainment and education provided to the speedrun community.

Man, Kuumba sure meant when he said he's good at the game, I couldn't do half of it! Also, great romhack, didn't know the NES could handle so much stuff coming from later games and older games, incredible, hope to see Kuumba again :D

This was awesome and Kuumba seems like a really nice guy. I beat this hack years ago and loved it. I'd forgotten almost all of it, so watching this was really nice.

I remember playing demos of this back in 2009 and to see it come far enough to appear twice at GDQ now is amazing. Kudos to Kuumba for absolutely destroying this game. If anyone is interested in giving Rockman 4 Minus Infinity a try I highly recommend it. It's arguably *the* quintessential Mega Man hack and the one that you should consider playing before some of the others (the Claw series, BCAS, RnC, etc).

How do you skip the autoscroll section in Cossack 1? I've been trying a RTA run, but I can't get the glitch to work. Help?
@averageman91652 жыл бұрын
Are playing the newer version of R4MI? the newer patches of the game fixes the glitches that causes the skips in many levels (like in Cossack 1).

the TAS does it but the the TAS can manipulate critical hits and do some other things that make it faster for the TAS

Does the shmup segment skip work in 0.02?
@Kuumba5 жыл бұрын
if your talking about the auto scroller skip in cossack 1 then yes it will , as long as your not playing on 1.00 or 1.01 the skip should work

Nah, I've been on several GDQ couches before this one. The very first couch I was on was during AGDQ '15 for SlurpeeNinja's Mega Man Unlimited 100% run. If you're familiar with the whole "He ded yo" thing... yeah, that was me saying that (though my feelings about that brief meme is a bit mixed).

Couch guy sounds super nervous, fucking good job working through it.
@LordVucious5 жыл бұрын
It's never really nervousness, per se, since this isn't my first rodeo on the GDQ couch. That said, I will say that I do have a tendency to trip over my words a bit from what I want to say at times. My head thinks faster than my mouth speaks, but it didn't detract the run as a whole, fortunately (at least for most people).

@@mirabilis I was a running the game on a Real NES via a reproduction cart since the hack doesn't work on the everdrive or powerpak . The reason why you see that grey filter in the first half of birght man's stage is because there's a effect called color emphasis that darkness the screen and that doesn't work on a RGB modded NES so thats why that grey filter is applied , i.imgur.com/yCD40xp.jpg that is what is looks like when that grey filter isn't applied
