You could switch the voices to Japanese in the options although it only works for the cutscenes and not the actual in-game voices. I did this with the American version of the game, which was my first Megaman game.

Usually A Megaman Game takes me 2-4 weeks to finish but when i got Megaman X7 i beat it in 3 days making the 3d is cool i just hated the camera cause i always got confused that l1 and r1 were the weapons but its the camera

+Jeremy Disini aka.SimpleGames I agree with you until the comparison with X6. X6 had some weird design choices, but it was nicely paced and Gate was a interesting vilian. Something that red will never be. And X6 is also far less frustrating.

I won't claim to know or care why the general fanbase hates X7, but I know why I think the game is trash and the voice acting, while terrible is still the least of the game's issues. The controls are clunky at best, making even the 2D sections feel like a slog and chore to maneuver through. The 3D sections are barren, devoid of items to interact with, just open fields with a few enemies. They seem lazily put together and, again, the controls are pretty terrible overall, having to rely exclusively on auto aim. Terrible camera in 3D sections as well. Axl is incredibly overpowered, his roll especially. The bosses are mostly uninteresting, none leaving any impression on me. I'd say the music's probably the weakest of the series, though there are a select few tracks I genuinely enjoy. X7 also has this issue with needing to unlock Mega Man X, despite him being the featured character on the cover and series staple, which is nonsense. These are all issues unique to X7, which is why it's crappy. It has nothing to do with preferring the older games, or being blinded by nostalgia. I say this as someone who likes X8 the most, of all the X games. X7 is just functionally inferior to even other games of the time. I can appreciate their attempt to bring X into a 3D setting or trying to mix 3D and 2D gameplay, however it was terribly executed and resulted in an awful game from top to bottom. X6 has its own issues, and I'd honestly be willing to say I respect X7 more than X6, overall, though I'd rather play X6. X6 is a lazy, rushed cash in with terrible level design and the only good things about it are the music and Zero's sprites. They took risks with X7, they didn't take any with X6, and in that way, X7 is better.

Bad 3D-mode was kinda off, bosses weren't fun up till Red, Flaming Hyenard is awful (I mean his voice), needless auto-lock-on X and Axl have works like shit most of the time. Saving reploids is a pain rather than fun. That's all I can remember for now. And yeah, grafics weren't bad either.

+John Bane Well that happened because they did a pretty bad job porting the game into 3D (I belive they didnt had enough time), so from that point a LOT of bugs were leaved behind not to mention the horrible camera angles and the awfull gameplay mechanics themselves. The music was oh-so-"meh" and the graphics wasnt as good and shiny as the original Rockman DASH (Megaman Legends). Combine this with a team who had to create a story from scratch using a NEW gameplay system for a franchise born in the 2D. I'm not saying they are victims or something, they fucked up the game... and the story (wich is lame as fuck), but for all this reasons is why this game is the WORST ever produced inside the X series, Rockman X6 is the second and from that anyone can pick up the fight for what would be the 3rd one. For me the 3rd worst X series game is Command Mission, the story is PERFECT but the gameplay mechanics and the graphics......... .... no comments.
