I'm a greasy ball, I only do my full fairy glam (burn all the clean girl bulls*hit), and I SWEAR BY the foot/body powder for setting, the aloe vera gel for primer and the baby oil to remove my beat (I use on a microfiber cloth). Nina Pool changed my makeup game, for sure!
@The.Audacity4 ай бұрын
Love to see you try these! I actually have been using the aloe primer and it has been quite nice for my skin, though I'm doing more just "I work in an office setting" basic makeup so my needs are a lil different.

The aloe is honestly a good hack. I would use both honestly

me and my partner use micellar water on a pad or microfiber towel to get off glitter and waterproof makeup before we double cleanse. just to take off the bulk and shit we dont want to get in our eyes. LOVE YOU ROCK! 🥰
@RockMSakura4 ай бұрын
For glitter, I usually use some painters tape to remove it. A microfiber usually just moves the glitter around

Baby oil is just mineral oil... good cleansing oils have different oils with emulsifiers that make the rinsing stage easier!

Aloe vera gel is useful for so much. I buy a cheap bottle at Walmart. It’s good as a moisturizer all over, not just the face, shaving gel, after shaving, eyebrows gel, etc. I use it in my hair as well, as is but also mixed with water in a spray bottle. It helps remove some make up too. By the way, I don’t buy the after sun one, just the regular one that is clear in the pharmacy section. It’s cheaper than the after sun one. My fav brand is Fruit of the Earth.

I've used micellar water for a long time! I put it in a little daiso spray bottle, and i spray all over, then use a cotton pad or makeup wipe to take off my makeup- if it's late or I'm lazy then thats it, but otherwise I'll wash my face after to get all the rest of the residue of. I never break out and i feel like it's a good first step for breaking down all the makeup lol
@olafzmit4 ай бұрын
I tried the 70% alcohol solution. It works somewhat… but the setting sprays (like your black nyx) contain also some polymers that SEAL the pigment on top. However alcohol help extra with blending and blurring. Too much alcohol will dissolbe your mug

I swear by that blue waterproof Garnier micellar water & I literally haven't had a break out in years but I "double cleanse" I use that first to take off my makeup then wash my face. I've used it without washing after though & have never broken out from it. That's my 2 cents at least lol

What’s great about mineral oil is that it doesn’t get absorbed by the skin. And fyi, baby oil is mineral oil with fragrance (unless you get the fragrance free). And well, you can ingest mineral oil but I would swallow baby oil because of the additives. But the base is the same.

I love Nina, although admittedly some of her hacks aren't for me. I'm glad to see her on your channel! 🥰 Also I use micellar water to remove my makeup (it's especially helpful for taking off mascara) but I use a cleanser and do a whole skincare routine afterwards.

I use micellar water 🙋🏻♂️ I paint other people more than myself but it seemed like the go to remover these days and works pretty well for most things - the only thing it doesnt take off is spirit gum or this one white liner i use and like sure you should wash your face afterwards but like whose doing that lol - definitely a step up from wipes lol and yeah you can use pads or qtips for precision its gewd
@RockMSakura4 ай бұрын
So the qtip and water is good, for clean up before foundation?

@@RockMSakura omg hey girlie. Well sure its good for cleaning up liner before your mug or any little mistakes when youre painting - i try not to use much so any residue wont effect the rest of your makeup but yeah its slay for removal at the end of the night. Its a step up from wipes but probably a step down from cold cream u no. Love u girl thanks for doing you 😘✨🐖

Also you can sploosh it right into your optic nerve to get rid of liner even in your waterline and it doesnt sting which is slay

I'm also autistic and i also love reading labels, that said, i don't really like most Nina's content, she often ignores that formulations have the same ingredients but different concentrations or molecule forms (usually patented) that makes A LOT of difference in the final product and having the same ingredients doesn't make it an actual dupe, it's the same thing as saying that shortbread cookies are a dupe for a cake since they have the exact same ingredients (flour, sugar, butter, eggs, baking powder and vanilla)

my go-to makeup remover for broke bitches is coconut oil. doesnt hurt if it gets in your eye (FOR ME AT LEAST! just blurs a tad bit.... although maybe i gotta look into this water soluble balm....), doesnt turn my skin red and raw like micellar water. i also have an oil cleanser that uses tea tree oil formulated specifically for around the eyes that i use if my skin is especially irritated or if i have makeup thats really stuck on my face.
