Rocknasium 2.0 building the new climbing gym

This is a first hand look at the building of the brand new Rocknasium Climbing Gym located in Davis California. To celebrate it's 20 year anniversary the Rocknasium has built an all new rock climbing gym. Co-owners Carter Schmeck, Mark Leffler and general manager "Boz" Bazargani take a look back at what it took to build the new 5000 square foot facility.

You guys stated that you would not retire soon, I assume that is due to the cost to build this gym. Does membership fees/income from the gym allow this to be false, or is owning a gym like this more a labor of love than a good investment??

Just took the time to watch this video and I am so glad I did. I can see now just what an incredible job Carter and Mark (et. al.) did and how much work was involved. I can't thank you guys enough. I joined the gym 3 weeks ago after not having climbed for maybe 25 years and I have totally gotten my mojo back there. There's a great diversity of people there and they're all friendly, both clients and staff. It really is far more than a climbing gym and it's a hell of a climbing gym!
