Tom goes back to Sonny Geraci's hometown roots in Cleveland, Ohio. Sonny takes Tom on a tour of his old neighborhood and his junior and senior high schools, where he learned to become the lead singer for THE OUTSIDERS and CLIMAX.

I played drums with Climax for 5-years. In all that time I never knew that Sonny had any health problems. I only remember him as a funny, sweet guy who always got the prettiest girls. That's one of the benefits of being the lead singer. RIP, my old friend.

I learned today that Sonny Geraci passed away. Didn't know he was a Clevelander. I lived in his neighborhood until I was age 8. Liked the song Time Wont Let Me as well as Precious and Few. RIP

My band The Cherry Slush 🍒 from Saginaw Michigan did several shows with The Outsiders in the 60s including the Upbeat Show at WEWS Cleveland. Great group to work with. We captured a great photo of Sonny and our singer Danny Parsons facing each other. I sat in with The Rip Chords at a Streetsboro Family Days several years ago. Sonny came to see us and was then wheelchair confined. I am so glad I got to see and talk to him one more time.

@@rocknrolluniverse Myself, Rick Biagiola Michael Webber and Ron Scala went up and did a few songs. Denny Tufano was about to go on when that gigantic lighting and Thunder clap hit. Scared the Hell of all of us. I jumped in my Jeep and got to hell out of there. LOL

The old neighborhood still looks nice ... love that the "Fallout Shelter" sign is still on the Junior High School (just in case! haha) Sad that Sonny is now gone, a great natural voice.

I grew up right around the corner from his home...I had no idea that as a child listening to his hits on our local iconic pop station WIXY back in '66-'69 that he was from the neighborhood...live and learn...

Hey i know that narrator. He is at all the doo wop shows in wheeling. He knows his stuff. Technology is great and i understand that we have to keep up with society but life was so much better before we all had cell phones. Not just because people couldn't call you. People actually cared about other people then and had respect for other people. Every one knew who the bad guys were. lol Because like he said. all we had were each other.
