I remember these guys very well. Was friends with David Joel the drummer. Never missed a show. Uncle Sams, Shaddracks, Sinbads. Great memories. I have David's drumsticks from the last Rockcandy show.

It's been a while since I heard this band. Only 27 years old and my father had this CD and showed me this band when I was VERY young. This is a prime example of underrated bands with a HUGE record sound is. Something kids my age most likely never heard of!

This is a New York band on a small private label (Sweet Tooth) that has a major label sound. That's rare in itself and the LP is rare as an original. I found it years ago sealed at an antique/flea market. I had no ideal it was as good as it is.

So many great bands never got signed. Sunset strip was amazing for bands. Kids today do not have a clue what they missed. Any day you could see a great kick ass band. Nowadays unsigned bands do not tour the club circuit. Tons of unsigned bands i have on CD.

The guitarist (American guitarist I guess) plays his solo as an european guitarist neo classical with mode aolian In my ear he plays Ab minor natural = Eb minor penta.Maybe he tunes his guitar a semitone.Rythmic Eb5 -Bb5 - C5- Ab5 - Eb5.He worked his solo great!!

Wrong psycho... This is not THAT Rock Candy with Vince. This is a band from the New England area that had a Buffalo born guitar player and drummer. Joie Anes was the lead singer, Jeff Powell the bass player, Stephen Shaw the guitar player. The band formed from Sinful, a band that included Nuno Bettencourt(The Extreme) , added Stephen and became LA Twist and when Johnny Angel (Buffalo) joined the band joined the band they became (one word) Rockcandy. There must have been more than one band called "Rock Candy" in the 80's then. In "The Dirt" he talks about his band Rock Candy before he joined Motley Crue.
