I want to see them play Amerita/Sense of Direction live. I had never heard of this band, when in late 1977 I found an LP of theirs in the bargain bin. Got home and put it on to hear Amerita/Sense of Direction and was blown away. Remains in my top favorites to this day.

I agree. I bought that LP in a bargain bin in the 70s also and also thought Amerita/Sense of Direction was special. In fact I happened to play that today after not hearing it for some time and then went on KZbin to see if there was concert footage - I saw your comment and I couldn't resist sharing the memory.

Just the same, in France, in 1977, I bought "Lucky For some" in a scum bin, with a kerf in the cover. I loved the whole album immediately, and particuliarly "Last Chance Saloon", a perfect blues... They are since then one of my favorite bands... RIP Colin and Peter.

this video always starts at 55:36 whenever I come to watch it because I am so captured by Rhino's bass solo that I just watch it repeatedly hehe :) (I mean I watch the whole concert too but I am very much here for Rhino ;P)

Couldn't Get It Right was the absolute worst song they ever made. It ended the band, turned the leftovers into an over the hill disco band when Heycock left. They should have stuck to the blues.

This is a lot heavier and rockin' than I remember the Climaxers being (no complaint there!) I guess my knowledge of the band is limited to "Couldn't Get it Right" and "Stamp Album" era. I guess it's time to investigate the band further!

I was a teen when I recorded a live concert on cassette ( 1979 ) that was broadcast on radio and liked the group since then but this concert seems to feature 80s songstyle which i really dont like so much

They didn't play I Love You because Derek Holt left the band (he wrote and sang it) and Colin Cooper refused to ever play it. Sad, had the original guys stayed together, they could have become legendary!

After watching the first 2 minutes of noise i turned it off. What kind of rank amateurs do that? Tune your guitar before the show....sound check before the show and just come out and play.. pretentious AF for a band with one good song.
