I too seen Randy in Switzerland Zurich 1988, walked through the front doors of the concert like a concert goer and parted the crowd with his fantastic look and presence alone,,and when he hit the stage the polished performance he gave left everyone gobsmacked ,,,,,definetly at the height of his talent,, much respect to him he left a massive impression on me

Randy is very cool. If endorsement is from Jimmy's dad or brother or billy cox or Mitch or that bad ass bass player he had . Not Jannie . She is a fake and is NOT in it for the music. Just money. I get your point though. Dude is good. Chicago.

@drivinsouth6515 жыл бұрын
@@loudkatana1 Unfortunately, that isn`t exactly a true story; unless you know of some interview I`ve never heard of. There are several guitarists that Hendrix allegedly loved and admired. Of course, he admired the blues, boogie-woogie, jazz, and rock guitarists who came before him. He went to England on the condition he could meet Eric Clapton. He is said to have expressed admiration for Terry Kath of Chicago, Rory Gallagher, Jimmy Page, and Billy Gibbons, among others.

I have this (VHS) and love most of it. Hendrix had many styles and Uli defers to Randy Hansen for some of Jimi's earlier styles/ And blues and Voodoo Chile. What Jimi was working on, which was released posthumously Uli conquers and I don't know of many more who could do that. As Jack Bruce says towards the end, before Angel, Uli Jon Roth is a very brave man. Hey Baby, etc...Jimi would've loved those/ Great tribute; live and spirited by some great players.

That concert is great. Thanks for sharing these moments on youtube. Hopefully I can see that show live! A Tribute concert to the giant Voodoo Chile Jimi Hendrix is the best way to celebrate the heritage he left here on the 3rd Stone from the sun for us. Gypsy Eyes always reminds me on my good friend and singer Castillo with whom I did 2 Tribute concerts for Jimi. I loved his perspective of the songs that brought me closer to the lyrics.
