Bloody he'll!! 'Been looking for this in like, forever!!! I heard it maybe only once on late night Perth radio in the early 80's!!! By '90, I had the F-T-birds version on viny and just never thought I'd never hear it again. I had been looking for Dave Edmunds and because R-pile was never a thing here(Australia) I kept drawing blank.... I think it must (in hindsight) have been back-announced as FEATURING Dave Edmunds... NOW I get it!!

Ever checked Rocking Sidney's original ?

@reuireuiop0 yeah man, it made sense of the Fabulous Thunderbirds version. For ages, I wondered about the differences between the two, but Kim Wilson's playing on the Fabulous Thunderbirds track was closer to Rockin Sydney's record.

If you play this or any of their records near a cemetery and Orr funeral home there are large amounts of complaints due to the fact that this could raise the Dead! You don't want a bunch of rocking zombies do ya?

Great candidate for my sneakily speeding up Rock Top Ten. Like, Lust For Life, Let's Spend The Night Together, you're so Mystifying (Kinks) Rock n Roll (Led Z) another couple more, Ten Years After did it on Going Home, but that's not what i call _sneakily_ speeding up. I'll have Lonesome Train by the Pirates instead. Honorary mention - Dancing in the streets, Martha Reeves

Must be Billy Bremner on vocals? What an incredible group of players this lot were. Funny how some say Nick Lowe was a weak link musically, when Ry Cooder rates him as a great bass player in his own right.
@jimlaregina2 жыл бұрын
That is correct. Billy Bremner sings lead on this song.

Wikipedia says it's Bremner... and his voice does have a slightly Scots feel to it. :-)
