👍 for the reaction. BTW, industry plant used to be a shade thrown at successful artists by the unsuccessful ones. Billie Eilish blew up on Soundcloud, where nobody cares who you are. They click a link, play the music. No questions asked, no answers given. In fact even to this day you can find old discussions about Billie as a boy and Billie as a "British rocker" on these streaming services. Now with her popularity, it is the industry that is riding her wave, not the other way around.
@iPyroNigma5 жыл бұрын
I don't mean to burst a bubble, nor am I implying this is the case for Billie Eilish. Several "Indie" artists that popped up 'out of nowhere' after initially uploading their music to some casual amateur website were actually signed before getting their blow out moment. The companies would inflate their 'views' or 'visits' to make it seem they just blew out of nowhere and then proceeded to announce the signing. Again, I am not saying this is the case for Billie.

An industry plant is someone who already has label backing or has been groomed by A&R's or label execs, but presents themselves as an independent up and comer. If their music is good why would you really care if they're an “industry plant?” its ok to enjoy music from an industry plant.

she is def an industry plant by definition. People take it as an insult to her talent or something but thats not what it is at all. She is talented, just untruthful on how she became successful. Look up interviews of her talking about how her first song Ocean Eyes got big and it will be a simple explanation of "this random song we made just blew up" when really their was a label backing her from the beginning. She is appealing to a younger audience and they relate to someone that got famous from their bedroom by themselves. Built on a lie because it makes more money.

Awesome reaction! Loved that you gave it the chance to change your mind. This is a pop song to start the album but if you consider that it ends in a lullaby and some horror in the middle, its a very interesting debut album!! Finneas really did an amazing job with all the noises and creative switch ups, he should win something for producing this. They call her an industry plant because the industry is promoting her, but come on! who wouldnt want to sign that?! She has also hit riiiight on the spot for a lot of people, some artists just capture that essence of what the zeitgeist wants, so people are promoting her like crazy because they love her. There is always a countermovement when a lot of people like something, but its not her fault.

bil is not an industry plant... she’s far from that... an industry plant is someone who’s put up as a (fake) artist by a label to make money out of. The person gets presented to the public as a true artist that came up on their own bc their art and personality where relatable and bc they where talented (as it usually works with true artists). However, in reality, everything is set up by the label (the personality, the music, the visuals, just everything that makes an artist) to make the artist relatable and to make it look like they got talent, so ppl fall for that and support them. The bad thing about that is, that if you let a label do that to you, you are lieing to your fans to make them think they pay money to a “you” that doesn’t even exist. Instead a company collects it all with fooling you. They are basically stealing from you at that point. Also, the artist is put up on the map by the label, so they don’t need to do the hard work to come up in the music industry. But they get presented as if they did it. i don’t feel like billies personality and art is fake and made up by someone else then her by any means.
@markusbonnet4395 жыл бұрын
Wrong, not a fake artist , just signed early on to make money with little amount of fans , which fits her perfectly

Yeah, sure kid... nice that you judge someone’s character so negative without even knowing them.. where do you even take this from (even tho it’s stupid to judge thru the internet anyways)? where does she seem like someone that just wants to suck money out of their fans as soon and as much as possible? (that’s what you assumption was as far as i got it)...

Anytime anyone comes out and is doing something even the slightest different from the “normal,” people always run straight to call them a fraud or a plant... hate to break it to everyone but every single artist has a team behind them that works with them, creates a narrative... half the time you don’t know anything about the actual artists until they aren’t popular anymore. Who cares if she found her niche and just went for it? That’s called being smart... people love to tear down people on the rise. She’s got a beautiful voice and does things outside the box... for now... that’s Billie.. she’s 17... she will grown and change just like everyone else.. doesn’t take away from her talent... lol

Okay I have to ask because I honestly don't know and this is the third video I've seen like this where the video they're watching is fast-forwarding itself or skipping whatever you want to call it..... are they doing that on purpose? And do they realize that a lot of the song is being cut out?
@donkorte804 жыл бұрын
People just thought that that the fact she just exploded on the internet must mean that she being created in some way. Wouldn’t be the first time we all got punked by something we thought had to be real. If it was just her on a computer kicking out all these songs then I might be inclined to agree. Thing is she’s not doing this solo. I’d say most of the actual laying down of tracks is coming from her brother. She supplies the nightmares ,the creativity, the visuals and a lot, most ?of the lyrics while he does the arrangements. He’s a master on that machine. Proof is every up and coming female singer wants him to write her a song or produce the one she has. He just bought his third house in LA and this ones down on the beach...

An industry plant is an artist who has Major Label backing their movement but presents themselves as a "home grown start up" label to create a pseudo organic following. They act as if things are miraculously happening for them based on their talent (via blog coverage, media coverage, mtv playing their vids, etc.) The reality is a low risk/high reward situation for labels

Furthermore, their video is structured a bit more like a typical youtuber would have it, rather than the ragtag layout they were using before. It's like the void of social injustice has consumed their personalities, and after digestion, shat out a product of KZbin's system. Guys, I would love to see you react to Rosalia's album El Mal Querer. The album is a thesis for her degree in Flamenco Music. The first song, Malamente, is full of Spanish imagery and stereotypes, and tells the story of a girl who is dating a bad boy, and even when everything and everyone is advising her to step out of the relationship, she can't. Each song of the album tells a chapter of the story, and it's inspired by a book from the XIV century called Flamenca. If you guys like something different, 'weird' in a good way, check this out. Also, the videos of her songs are pure talent.
