Hi Rocks: The basket is a tobacco basket. The basket would hold "hands" (a certain amount of the tobacco leaves). Each basket would hold a certain grade of tobacco, and then the buyers would come thru and bid on the various baskets/grades of tobacco the farmers would bring in. I got to go to a tobacco warehouse in Madison, In. in the mid 80's. My ex husband and I were hired by a neighbor to "strip" the tobacco leaves from the stalks. Your videos, make me relieve my "Glory" days! Love that you are including children in the giveaways. You are truly family oriented. Love the ACL bottles, and the old beer bottle that was blown. I'd love to display a bottle from your channel in my China hutch if I'm a winner. Keep the family fun, coming.

I really enjoy these picking videos! Two years ago I was picking at a local place, more like just looking, anyhow there was a large blue Mason Jar filled with marbles….for 10 stinking dollars! I’m still kicking myself for not getting it, I should’ve at least bought it for the jar. At the time I didn’t give marbles much thought. Continue to live and learn

The large game is a Pachinko machine. They originated in Japan. I have a vintage one, not electric, from the 30s or 40s that uses metal balls with designs engraved in them. Some awesome bottles at that place. I bet half of your subscribers would keep The Child for themselves haha!

Always like the antique store picking videos. Wish I knew how to age marbles and tell which manufacturer. I see them in the antique store and want to start a collection, just never sure if they’re legit old or not. In the 1990's it was all the rage to put things on candle sticks. Ball jars, plates , anything else you could find! Lol. The craft stores sold cheap glass candle sticks and people scouted the thrift stores for stuff like antique plates and stuck them on there! They used them at weddings and showers wedding and baby. Lolol

Frame 21:34 I believe is called a Plinko ( probably spelled it wrong ) is an oriental game. You've seen the large version on The Price is Right TV show. They used to advertise it in the old Sears & Roebuck Catalog, back in the 60s& 70s. It uses small ball bearings that you can flip the lever & it acts like an up right pinball game. I always wanted one when I was a kid, but Santa never brought it. Oh well, thats life. Later ! :~)

Rock's the basket you pointed out is for tobacco. Tobacco farmers used these to place their Tobacco in after stripping the Tobacco leaves from the stalks and drying and hanging in barn. When Tobacco came in order which means not to damp or to dry they would take it off the sticks and start stripping the leaves usually in 3 grades starting at the bottom was trash leaves next was lug or bright leaves and last was tips or red leaves. You would get a handful keeping the stems straight and take one leaf and tie around the the top and pull through the center creating what was called a hand. The hands were placed in the basket in a specific order, and in rows one on top of the other in layers this was called booking your tobacco. When complete and the Tobacco warehouse could take it the basket was placed on the warehouse floor. You would get a call saying when your tobacco was going to be auctioned. They had graders who would grade your tobacco and this would determine how good your tobacco brought as far as money. It was sold by the pound to cigarette manufacturers like RJ. Reynolds Co. Ect but that is what the Tobacco basket was used for and the reason you found one in the antique shop is that farmers are using tobacco bailers now and people are buying these baskets to decorate with. My family used to raise tobacco. It's a lot of very hard work. I know you like to know about things and have a knowledge when talking to your followers. I thought I would give you this information and it comes from first hand experience lol. Thanks for your time and video.
