My hometown is East Liverpool...I used to fish at the Ohio River there alot when I was a kid in the 50's....found arrowheads along the river then. I still have some arrowheads from then but have no idea of their age or makeup. Sure would appreciate some help identifying these arrowheads...I have lived in Northern California for 50 years now but still cherish the arrowheads I found as a kid in EL...your videos are great! thanks!

Hey Rocks, have u tried Chest Wadders? I have chest wadders, and knee high water boots, but more i think about it, those thigh high hip leg water boots seem to be more sufficient considering i try not to go chest deep anyways. Just curious how well you like what you use?

Yea...but they are a death trap. I would drown in those. I never wear a life jacket.

I may just start wearing shoes....so I can go into chest deep water. The water is still warm. It is in the 70's here still.

@@scottdenn5545 I know what you mean Scott. I should wear one....I may this year when it gets down to like 10 degrees. My mom has been reading me the riot act for not wearing one. LOL. I always like those river shots. Good water. That could be a Kingfisher or a Swallow of some sort on the bank burrow. It was hard to tell the exact size of the hole. Nice finds, and you know, that with all else you've found it's just a matter of time till you get an incredible smoker... or a few... you've already found some nice examples. Always smokin'. Thanks, Rocks.

I dont want to talk to people at the mall....grocery store...and everywhere I go. Some people here want that...i do not. I have not even self promoted my channel. You found the honey hole of heartbreakers today ! That Madison was worth the trip though. I bet if you stuck a long ( real long ) stick in that hole, you'd have a 75% chance of finding out what was in there. But I'd make sure I could get a really good head start on whatever might come barreling out of there. See Ya later ! :~)

Lots of nice finds, to bad about the brokes, make you wonder what they would have been like. The bank hole could be a bank swallow nest hole. I stuck my hand in one when i was a kid and pulled out a huge toad. Lol. Have a great day.

You kill me every time you groan about your back. I swear I am going to design a light-weight, collapsible, adjustable, heavy-duty table/stand. The digging has got to be one thing, but being bent over, looking over those screens, half the day, is creating unnecessary strain and fatigue.
@coachkevinwilson19583 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Melissa. I was thinking about that too. I've sifted for years for shark teeth, and that's always an issue, bending over looking through the screen but also the act of sifting (unless you're doing it in waist high water). One solution might be rope handles, so that you can stand and sift, and maybe have fold out legs or something to stand it up to look through. One day, I'm going to design one.
@rockscousteau3 жыл бұрын
It is mostly reaching with the shovel....and the suction on the bottom when you lift up the shovel. The sifting I can just roll a log out and sit my screen on it. And that alleviates that. It is mostly the shovel work to be honest.
@coachkevinwilson19583 жыл бұрын
@@rockscousteau Yup, that takes its toll on me too LOL. 25 years ago, not a problem. Now, Mr. Art Thritis took over :)

@@coachkevinwilson1958 Think PVC or HDPE..... and that's all you get. lol. Good luck!
@melissanewman44223 жыл бұрын
@@rockscousteau I understand that, but I would think the ideal work surface for you would ideally be about 42'+..Then after shoveling, sifting, you would be able to stand up straight for 5 minutes or so... that would give your back a break.... I am short... you are not..

Ive seen those in creeks. Huge ones before. I am seeing all these big lizards now. I saw a lizard on the river last week that was the size of an Iguana, But that is not what it was. It has black skin and red on it. But it ran into weeds like 2 seconds after I saw it and disappeared. It would have gotten some major views if I could have got it on video
