thank you for making this video , just bought one today, and i was confused mine is the updated version , getting bck home realized doesn't have the valve relief button , so it came separately

Interesting! Om my '23 Pike Ultimates I have pushed those buttons in 100s of times and never heard so much as a puff come out. I'm sure they work in more extreme cases than where and how I ride, but I'm thinking of just sealing them off with the select model plugs because of the annoying oil that leaks out..... Great to see you back!

I believe they are selling new forks like that because they have an ongoing patent dispute with fox. I received the new lyrik with those covers and asked shop that the bleed valves are missing and the product isn’t as advertised and I received the bleed valves separately to install them by myself.

These were introduced with the 2024 Boxxer, and the other forks updated with them too. Got a set on order for my Pike Ultimate. Changing the originals , due to the oil you mention. Then if the rubber covers have oil on them, they aren’t secure.

I just received my Lyrik Ultimate (April 2024) and it came with the new dial version as well. I ordered a set of the fart buttons anyway, but was disappointed that this needed to be ordered separately. Also, it did not come with rubber covers for those buttons, wonder if the new buttons I ordered will come with rubber covers. Thanks for the video.

Any source where i can get the Rubber piece for the old version? lost one from my Pike ultimate and can´t seem to find a replacement online...

I also purchased a Zeb with this screw caps, I was very confused as they are solid... So should we leave them allen-key tight or can be have them thumb tight? Seems a bit strange for such a quick/convenient feature to now need a stop and break out the multi tool situations to utilise it.

I’ve just left mine thumb tight and they’ve been fine. I assume the legal/licensing bill was too steep from Fox to continue using the buttons.

hey i just have some question about when i use these valves Do i need to use it after i changed my compression or rebound setup or when i change the air pressure inside the fork? Or its only for the temperature changes and the altitude changes

It’s only for temperature/altitude changes as the lower legs are a separate chambers from the damper and air spring.

no way to unscrew mine ? you just need to unscrew to free the air or you need also to press something once unscrewed ? many thanks ;)

Should be able to use an Allen key to unscrew them, any air should come out you don’t need to press anything.

They're actually purge valves rather than pressure relief valves.

If you want to know why, just look what kayaba, showa, Öhlins etc did 20 years ago on their products. That push bleeder valves are a disgrace, It would suck air due to closing properly. On top of that evil swines that don't do proper maintenance would get it get fill with sand/mud/whatever and it would spit out some oil and ingest gunk.
