The high rise is a good option for many (in this case by Title, but there are others). Not everybody, but on steeper stuff going down and/or if back ache is an issue, they are good for many, if not all. Some say they compromise riding up hill seated (that the front wheel tends to rise off the ground). This is theoretically correct. But on most frames is only noticeable at almost the same steepness as a lower rise bar in practice (I’m not certain why that is), so, not noticeable most of the time. And, of course, unless you are an aficionado of lifting the front wheel to get over big rocky step-ups (or a big wet slimy root) riding uphill on a narrow track, then that become noticeably easier. Dakota Norton seems to be making it work and a few are following his lead (he uses 80mm 😊).

Fantastic vid: have these bits on order. Your description of the ‘issues’ with the original seal and the pins is not really set out elsewhere as far as I can see and give a good set of clues on how to get the best out of the V2.1 until a new service (SKF) kit is installed.
@HollyBoniАй бұрын
The newer seal feels lower friction, but on my post it still pukes out grease just like the old one. I've read that it's mostly a venting issue with this post.

Man there's no need to use your index finger for changing gears. Your index finger is intended for one finger breaking.
@garethrobinson2275Ай бұрын
I kind of get what you're thinking here, but I find with the big buttons as they are, you have to extend your thumb a long way to the lower one. This means an uncomfortable 'finger only' bar grip at that point. I'm not usually shifting and braking at the same time so that's not the issue for me.
@Mockle07Ай бұрын
And yet many people choose Shimano because of their index finger ‘trigger shift’ function. I have two bikes with Shimano drivetrains and almost exclusively use the trigger shift… why would you need to brake if you are shifting up? I can’t think of a single situation in the last 5 years where this has caused me any issues.

I do miss the tactile feel of mechanical X01 and XX1 but AXS is right up there on the podium. Setup is so easy and I don’t need to deal with cable routing or tuning shifting. AXS just worked flawless out of the box. Just had to make 3 clicks on the micro adjust and shifting is smooth as butter. I find X01 AXS shifts better than XX1 AXS.
@GokkunGuru2 ай бұрын
So I finally received mine from The Lost Co. I must say this is the best iteration of all the AXS controllers on the market. So many angles for adjustments and the clicks are crisp and solid. The second best iteration is the original AXS controller IMO.

Ohhh they have copied shimanos XT/XTR/SLX with this one having the bent cage! Now that is interesting because that was a massive difference in sram to shimano for the 1X system! Sram used a narrow wide jockey wheel to keep the chain on shimano used a more refined design but i see why they done this! because the Axs on shimanos cassettes was alot better than there own! But now with the childish grudge they went and done the iPhone move on us so we are now locked into their products with the T type! I couldn’t wait for the separate upgrade, so I just had to buy the complete Rocker Pod and it is so much better. I just lay my thumb on it in the middle and then either push up to move to a lighter gear or down for a higher gear. The only thing is that despite tightening the T25 bolt pretty much it still can happen to me that it comes a bit loose and turns … that is really annoying. Is this a known problem? I will try my next ride with even tighter but it states only 2 Nm🤔
