Thanks myman. repetition is definitely helping with remembering to mention details. Peoples comments are a huge help as well. So Anytime you see something off or a better way to do things let me know and I'll try to apply it to a future video. As always thanks for the support! 👍

Glad to hear that the video was helpful and thanks for the positive feedback. This is a very easy fork to work on , as is the shock, which you will see VERY soon. There is no reason for people to pay someone $150 - $200, each, to get them serviced. After your first time, your confidence is going to go through the roof. servicing it will be super quick. 👍

I got this really long silicon bottle scrubber that works really good for cleaning the lowers. I think it's Betty crocker brand
@zoubtube8 ай бұрын
That is SO funny that you mention this. My GF has been on this anti plastic kick every since her major health scare last fall, so she now only drinks out of stainless steel bottles. she bought this nice bottle scrubber about a month ago, and I was SOOOOO close to using it, and taking the beating after. I was too lazy to drive to the dollar store to get one because the weather was super crappy when I recorded it. I should've gone with the beating 😁

Thanks for this video, and could you make a new movie with latest SID Ultimate 35mm with Race Day 2 damper ?

The plan is to make videos for as many different brands and models of forks, shocks, droppers, etc, as I could. time is the limiting factor though. I'm sure I'll be working on one of these sooner than later 👍

Hi there. Love your channel 🙂 I have serviced a Sid RL3 with remote. The compression knob has lost the "spring" and doesn't turn back to open on its own. Any way to open the damper unit completely and fix it? The bladder and all of the top has to be taken off...
@zoubtube8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. Technically, yes. The upper part of the damper can be opened. But it can be quite a PITA. Worse yet, Rockshox doesn't offer parts to the public (that I know of) for the upper stack, so if anything goes wrong, it could prove to be a problem. I need to know the exact fork you have. Any chance you can send me the serial number?
@MrDarni788 ай бұрын
@zoubtube Strange thing is that the fork didn't show when I typed in the serial number in the service hub at Sram website... 34T83589300 Not my bike, so I don't know the year. Scott Spark. 100mm travel. RL3 damper
@zoubtube8 ай бұрын
@@MrDarni78 Based on the serial number, it's a FS-SID-RL3-B1 fork. It comes with a charger 2.0 damper and a debonair air spring. IMO, this is a good overall damper. Charger 2.0 is comfy on XC trails when setup right. I could be wrong, but I don't think there is anything you can upgrade it to in order to make it better for that generation. What exactly were your thoughts as far as "upgrading" the actual damper?
@MrDarni788 ай бұрын
@@zoubtube No plan on upgrading. Just changing the oil when I realized that the compression knob was "loose"

Subscribed. Thanks for laying the tools out for each part. A ton of effort appreciated. 6:20 use SRAM butter over dynamic seal grease or not? Confused by what you said there.
@zoubtube8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the support. In the rockshox service guide, they state dynamic grease. Yet on the seal package, they state SRAM butter. Personally, The only time I'll use dynamic grease is when the grease needs to mix with oil, such as in the IFP chamber of a dropper post. For air springs, just use butter. 👍

Thanks!! this video is the most usefull that I´ve seen. Do you know if there is any major issue if the bottom screws (rebound and non-rebound) are swapped from the correct side?
@zoubtubeАй бұрын
I'm happy to hear you found the video helpful. The rebound bolt is designed to allow you to adjust the rebound. You will lose this ability if you use another bolt. I hope this helps

Great video, really appreciate the complete walk through. I have a '14 SID A3 model with Specialized Brain damper. Is it possible to still use this video as a guide for the 200 hour service or is it going to get too complicated with the different internals. Thanks and I look forward to some of your other videos I just found!
@zoubtube6 ай бұрын
Glad to hear you found the video informative. As to your question: the lowers yes, the job is basically the same, the air spring as well, though the air spring will look a bit different. As for the damper, no. I believe yours is a motion control, which is a completely different damper. I'll be posting a video on a fork with motion control. its just a question of time. I'll try an get to one soon. thanks for your comment

Thank you for your awesome videos. Do you also service rockshox brain dampers and rear shocks?
@zoubtube4 ай бұрын
I might make a video on this one day, but honestly, I would really consider buying a conversion kit that will allow you to install the regular shock, if this is an option for your frame. The money to do this will be much better spent, imo

What tool is your blunt pick and what adapter did you use to connect the syringe to the damper bleed setscrew when bleeding the air out the damper.
@zoubtube6 ай бұрын
The pick I bought from ifixit a long time ago. turns out they still sell it below is the link. www.ifixit.com/products/metal-spudger The adapter on the syringe is the same adapter that is used to bleed SRAM brakes. Just make sure it's completely free of dot fluid if you're going to use the same syringe to bleed your fork. Or even better, just buy a dedicated syringe for your fork. They can be found online for good prices

Does the 2023 Reba 110mm travel require oil on the air side? (Positive chamber)

What sucks is I was supposed to work on one of these in january, but we were dealing with so many crazy things that I just couldn't make a video in a reasonable amount of time. I'll get one in my hands again soon i'm sure. As for the air spring, Technically no, but I would add in 2ml of 0w30 or maxima heavy.

@@zoubtube ok, I’ll give it a shot. I did the 50 hour service on min and had almost no oil in it. I did the 7mils too just in case. I will say the air spring seal head looks different for sure
