After all these years I just heard about rocksmith because I recently bought an electric guitar. One guy recommend Rocksmith. So I bought it for pc because people say there’s a delay issue with the gaming console. I’ll give it a try and see if it will make me become a guitar player. The problem I can see right now is I won’t remember how to play without this game but we’ll see.

As a huge Queen fan i understand why they included We are the Champions and Bohemian Rhapsody in the Queen set list however; They are some of the most boring Queen songs, except for the end, and they should have, instead, put in songs like Crazy Little Called Love, Innuendo, Bijou, and, what definitely should have been included, I Want it All (studio version with intro). These are the Queen songs that are more fun to play and more guitar heavy.

Then on on a video editor, he put the tv recording in top of the other one(obviously synced) then he made the dark parts of the tv recording transparent, resulting in this. Simple process, but damn does it look good!

What was your guitar skill level prior to picking this game up? I have never picked up a guitar and was interested in Rocksmith because I don't think I could stand playing twinkle twinkle or something for six month.

There are lessons in the game that teach you guitar and the songs start off easy and get harder to play once you learn them.

I can play Misirlou (real version) at 97% according to Rocksmith. I had never played guitar before (only guitar hero) and I started at the beginning of this year. While I still have a long way to go (I'm pretty sloppy, and Misirlou is pretty easy once you get your picking down) Rocksmith breaks songs down into easier versions of the riffs and solos and slowly makes them more complex to match your skill level (though sometimes I feel I need to manually increase the difficulty). In six months you should be good enough to at least play some Nirvana and simple punk songs (Blitzkrieg Bop was the first song I played properly), you won't be shredding like Dimebag but you'll be able to play some actual songs.

Seeing VortexICX's post as well as a couple others on your vids it sounds like you work for the ubisoft or a supporting company? I come to these vids as an easy way to write out tab to learn these songs in a different way when having trouble with solos that come on too fast or when I cant use tv. Would love to have an ingame tab feature that lets you print off the whole song. I would buy the game again for my cpu just for that feature. IMO, this game should really invert the strings to begin with. Once people get used to this buying tab books and playing through them will be a frustrating experience I would imagine, it sure seemed foreign to me coming from learning most everything from tab. Would love to see a freestyle mode that monitors your timing and key but lets you do your own thing with the song for the next version. I have blast jamming with Santana (smooth is great) with my own riff fills and just ignoring the score in the end. You know when you nailed it.

I've listened to this song at least a hundred times. I guess you must have gotten a book at a music store which you play the melody throughout the entire song. Instead of an accompaniment. Which wouldn't include the melody. I haven't been playing the guitar very long and haven't bought books by artist yet. So that's just a guess. But I've played the piano for 22 years. So I assume you got the original format, piano/vocal/guitar. You've got skill on the guitar.
