Multumesc ROCKSTADT / a fost primul meu contact cu acest festival & oras / A fost super intreg festivalul , atat ce sa derulat pe main stage sau second stage , unele formatii de pe 2nd chiar meritaU sa fie( dar nu a fost posibil ( logistic si ca marketing) ) pE main stage; asta din pct de vedere muzical , dar a fost super si din pct de vedere al mancarii & bauturilor & si cel mai important al prieteniilor care s-au inchegat in timpul festivalului+ acest superb orasel RASNOV. Am fost singurul nebun , cred, care urca la 7: 50 dimineata , sambata( a 2-a zi de festival ) pe o ploaie deasa catre cetate....se vede si pe obiectivul camerei , cand am facut niste poze in aceea dimineata, nu aveam cazare, nu cunosteam deloc locatia & oraselul , dar aveam credinta ca va fi un moment important din viata mea si asa a si fost. Se confirma si prin aceasta postare cu INSOMNIUM, formatia pe care am dorit neaparat sa o vad , ca organizatorii+ producatorii acestui MARE festival , chiar se pricep la ceea ce fac. Se vede si dupa line-up -ul... din acest an . Sper sa nu fi plictisit pe nimeni cu acest comentariu. Apropo , pentru acest an de voluntari, aveti nevoie ?, sau e prea tarziu ? Multumesc inca odata Rockstadt ! \m/ No thumbs requires.

Ok, I've never seen them live yet (will be seeing in 2 months) but during The Promethean Song, on Ville's singing parts, they looked kind of synced to me. It also sounded almost exactly like the album version as well. I hope I'm wrong

Insomnium: great, ingenious, almost legendary metal studio production band. Live act, not so much. I wonder if they even listen to their own shows afterwards to find out if how it actually went...

Saw them in a small venue on their North American winters gate tour and they sounded amazing, so much better than the majority of the live videos online. Totally exceeded my expectations, sounded way way better than this performance or basically any of them online from festivals

I saw a bunch of Slayer video on dvd, streaming, etc. all of their bad sound, but it is not the same if you have been there.

I dream that one day Markus will stop playing solos in old Insomnium songs. That solo in Devoid of Caring completely ruined the beautiful outro.

The solo makes it complete. Without it, the song would leave the listener with the feeling of something lacking in the song.

Yeah but he is saying that markus changed the solo , the outro in devoid of caring is simple yet melancholic and beautiful. He played a solo with too many notes taking apart the real feelings in the original ending

I hate markus in Omnium gatherum too , he should be better in a band like COB where he could play faster and as many solos as he wants.

@@JEKAZOL I mean, I've seen them recently as support of Amon Amarth and they sounded very good. All four of them (just with Tomy Laisto instead of Ville on guitars). There are also two live videos of them from 2023 on their own YT-channel which sound amazing. After seeing several older YT-videos of them sounding not quite good (especially Ville when singing and Markus Vanhala when soloing), I do really think that they improved a lot over the years. Maybe they just drink and headbang less and concentrate more on the music instead. 😉

It's kind of disheartening isn't it? I mean this is a band I love, but I have seen quite a few live performances on youtube that are like this...having said that I just saw them last week and they were incredible. Maybe it's just that when you're there in the club you can't hear these little slip ups...but you certainly can on youtube. And it's sad because they are an amazing band. But it does sound like they need more time playing together.... :(

You are wrong. There no guitar fuck ups. And what you hear has nothing to do with practice. Ville's guitar is terribly out of tune and that creates that tonal distortion. Starting at 15:17 you can hear how badly out of tune his guitar actually is. He even gives it quick test but doesn't tune it. If you performed any string instrument on the stage then you know that you cannot always hear your instrument perfectly and that makes tuning or hearing the pitch quite difficult. That is why special people tune guitars of these guys. I believe that Ville doesn't even realize that his guitar is out of tune. Thumb down should go to the sound mixer for not communicating this problem to the band.

They sound better now. I've seen them with Amon Amarth this past August, and they sounded pretty good. But yeah: Kinda weird how bad they sound on many YT-videos, respectively just Ville and Markus Vanhala.
