Mig's song rocked!! JD, electric as usual, and hey---Marty screamed the song out because that was what that particular song called for. Deanna, even though she wouldn't make it, rocked out her original song quite well!

I think that jd gets overlooked and put down simply because he's always being compared to Michael. No one will compare to Michael, he is iconic, but that doesn't mean jd is a horrible singer and writer. I think jd is really good

Mig's original song ALWAYS got stuck in my head. And watching this back, it's stuck in my head again. I really wish he had released this on his album he put out a while back, because I really loved it. Kind of bummed me out he didn't even put it on there. It was a kick ass song, with a good message in my opinion.

After 15 yrs I remembered only Dilana's performance of Lithium in Season II, 2 performances of Mig (his original and baby i love your way) and Marty's Hit Me Baby One More Time.

JD was pliable and INXS knew it. Marty, on the other hand, would have been a force. They didnt want a ..force.. they wanted someone pretty for the girls to look at and to kiss their butts. They got him with JD..and as the record shows.. they got his insecure ass, which they quickly got rid of after making one more album and a video or two to help refill their bank accounts.

Original Inxs members - when they comment on each performance they are spot on...in fact DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE their comments and the depth of the connection they have with their own music . Young performers yes beautifully done and soo for your time and culture ...but I agree with INXS ..are the song choices in INXSs style ? Especially when heavy death metal style is performed....sorry wrong band audition....MIG ..in my experience and opinion you should have been the new front man for inxs as you have the soul connection and impeccable dress sense that Micheal Hutchinson was famous for ...please never give up music Mig as you have it...but so does all the performers ...infact there is not one on that stage now that does not have the x factor... hard to choose inxs

think they picked out JD as the winner early on. Casey was my favorite. Looking at this years later he still is. Jordis who I remember liking isn't as good as I remember.IMO her performance here was awful or as someone else posted--painful.

What were you watching, I think every performance by Jordis rocked, besides Dream On and Try Not. And yah, I think after the song-writing clinic they had at least decided JD as one of the top choices, and once everyone had performed original songs, they had basically choosen a winner. The weight of the original songs is more important than I imagined, it really showcases you as an artist, and since the remaining members of INXS were no songwriters, they needed to rely on someone who could write songs.

I watched Super Nova first and Magny did a way better job than Marty on I Alone but it's still good.

A really odd choice to list only the singers home city and country. New Glasgow, Canada? I’ll bet most Canadians have no clue where it is, let alone 100% of the rest of the shows audience :-)

New Glasgow? The name kinda gives it away. It's on the east coast. The Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia (HINT: latin for NEW SCOTLAND?), and Prince Edward Island have large Scottish and Irish descendants.

The song was way too too big for Jordis. Bingeing these episodes after so many years really makes the weaknesses of each contestant apparent. Some pretty good singers but not really any transcendent artists. Marty seems like the closest, but as history would show none of them became anything close

Bingo: also shows that even with massive TV exposure, breaking into the big leagues is difficult. As with any live event, there will be flaws, but those can be somewhat navigated with the right producer/studio. Like season 2 that followed, no real long lasting stars. Marty seemed suited for fronting his own quirky indie band
