My wife and I are visiting here this summer so I’ve watched a number of videos about it, which would explain why your’s was suggested. Your video is so detailed I had to stop it a couple minutes in. Even though at our age, we won’t be doing the hike down, I don’t want our trip to feel like a rerun. Consider that a compliment.

Nice journey into my old back yard. As a climber I’ve been down the SOB gully more times than I can count. The poison ivy is prolific and can grow in forests taller than a person. Fortunately it doesn’t show up till halfway down the gullies. And once at the river there are lots of open areas and you can rinse off if necessary. I enjoyed your trip report ,

I believe what they initially thought was poison ivy is actually Box Elder.
