I ordered these because of your video, I installed them on the rear deck as you said, and they can easily hit down to 27Hz, 20Hz is also great, just a little quieter. Really nice to not need a separate subwoofer. Be aware that they like a lot of power, so I recommend running them off an amp (I'm using a Kicker 440W RMS amp with a MiniDSP HD 2x4 for boosting the sub-bass frequencies)

@@kevinski175 pretty much, although the rear seats get much more bass than the front seats due to the acoustics of the car. Over the past couple months I've been turning my car into a track/autocross car, so the 6x9 subs got removed for weight reduction. (18 lbs together) I can definitely say that I miss the extra bass they gave me.

@@defkey123 yeah makes sense. Rear deck sub's are supposed to resonate to the entire vehicle. In some vehicles the acoustics will sound differently. Would you say these subs sound musical? or does the bass sound like burps?

@@kevinski175 they did sound pretty nice back when I used them. They would only start sounding bad if you push too much power into them. Some sort of DSP or EQ would help them out too. They're definitely pretty good for the money and the fact that there's really no other 6x9 subs out there.

I'm between the Alpine X Series or Hybrid Audio Unity 6x9s but I honestly don't want to spend so much money for my daily driver. I like infinite baffle set ups for the Sound Quality. Not me man I'm sorry I am Rockville man I got canines and I pound them I've had them for about 4 years now and I'm tickled 10-inch subwoofers with 3in voice coils like people down Rockville but I love their subwoofers in their speakers not a big fan of their amps I go skar on the amp but I'll take a Rockville subwoofer over any skar subwoofer there is there built better there be fear they will handle their power I ain't crazy about their ratings how they do that but I love their subwoofers they're heavier than they're built better keep up the good work Rockville very happy with my subwoofers

You might not need a box but I can tell by the way it moves and plays that it would sound and do so much better in a box. There's alot of clipping and movement, too much, need to limit that with a sealed box,. Finding one for that massive mounting depth would be a challenge though you might have to build something.

Those rockvils are modeled after the cadence cvl69 which are no longer produced... but i had a pair bsck in 2009 ish.... same motor n basket.. almost as though rockville bought the design

Note if you would have reversed your polarity on the Rockville with it being invented. They would have been in phase. You would have had way better bass results if they were in phase when you played the 2 together.

The vehicle I have has plenty of bass for my liking, and it's just the factory system from 2007, it utilizes 2 6.5in , 2 tweeters, a center 3.5in, and 2 6x9 in the back, sounds good compared to anything else I've heard, I have heard the factory premium system from honda in the honda accords(2021) and the 2007 system sounds better in my opinion

Can I only run this in Lo pass or can I run these Hi and Lo pass (to get some voice out of the rear of my car? I think having them basically free air under amp load with ruin them in a short time??? The only midrage would be 2-6.5 loudspeakers (beyma or something well) on the doors. but I was even going to try the Gravity speakers with the horn. @@drillsergeant623 I dont think you understand hes not comparing a subwoofer of any sort. Hes stating its the most powerful 6x9 you can get that has punchy bass for lows and mids. Its hard for a normal 6x9 to produce both things at one time. I love infinity they have the best sound quality coming out of them. So are the kicker K series. But none can put out a heavy bass sound. I know the infinity kappas do though they got real good bass but they cost way more than your average 6x9 speakers. There are several good 6x9s out there i nvx are awesome too. But the rvl69 by rockville legit hit the hardest deepest bass money can buy. Literally they only cost you 100 bucks for a pair. As to kappas they range from more than hundred up to 400.

Hello, I am about to purchase 6x9 speakers. Its between JBL GTO939 or Infinity keppa 93iX. Which do you guys recommend. Aftermarket radio with no amplifier. I want a decent bass, I know the infinity is a 2 ohm speaker and JBL is 4 ohms.
