pioneer yes it was same with the sound clarity across all sound levels and ds 1st it sounded low and then with more power it was more brighter wider other hand pioneer is tuned to sound little boxy type like its sound stage is wider but sometimes feels like the sound is coming from a box and ds18 sounded more open at higher volumes like those guitar 🎸 notes were more vibrant on ds18 than pioneer but maybe thats because im listening it oh phone maybe in actual it may sounded same or pioneer may be better . great video thanks 🎉❤

What is the best speaker, for a STOCK amplified system. There's not very much power in it, it's a sc300, and basically no different than the stock amp in a stock HU. I am looking for SQ not really more base. Just not less bass than stock paper speakers.

I really wish you would add some subjective testing, with recorded values, at a specific DB, and higher end microphone recordings to allow for more detailed reviews. There is absolutely NO reviews online for 4" speakers, or any car audio speakers like other tools that are tested. Would make this channel explode.

I love this channel lol Im replacing my blown DJL Pops 6.5s in my subaru. I have done sound deadening also. They are a brand from chicago if you havent herd of them do your research alot of people buy them locally and lots of guys run them on motorcycles. I blew them out bc i was running them full range. I moved recently and took my woofers out of my car and i cranked up the volume to loud for to long probably and recently ive noticed lots of distortion and rattling and i geuss i blew them…. Any way they dont make the 6.5s anymore so i was thinking of going with JL audio but id like to see you conpare them with other options and get your thoughts and feedback about them.

I run a set of 250w RMS (each) DS18 Pro-X 6.5" speakers for my fronts. They are a midrange speaker, crossed over at ~130hz at per DS18 recommendations, and they sound absolutely amazing. I have them on almost full power (about 220-230w RMS each) and I can hear them loud and clear over 5kw of bass. The subs run up to ~130hz on a -16db slope and it all blends in perfectly. Long live the midrange.

Not really good advice Components will always sound better number 1 Number 2 it doesn’t matter about the stock the stock head unit either simply with dsp. Give quality advice vs opinions. Hell screw the crossovers components come with and run active, far better sound add dsp even better

Midbass can reproduce midrange and bass at the same time, usually from around 80hz. Midrange drivers aren't intended to play bass and usually crossed over around 400hz or higher. Woofers reproduce lower frequencies around 45-50hz up to 2,000hz generally. Subwoofers reproduce sub-octave low frequencies as low as 20-30hz and cannot reproduce vocals or high-frequency signals well. Tweeters are the workhorses of audio, reproducing highest frequency content, starting around 1,500hz and going as high as 20khz. Supertweeters are tweeters too, but are crossed over higher, usually 5khz to 9khz up to 20khz. * these are general rules and by no means engraved in stone.

I think every speaker has its purpose. If you are a SPL guy and you just want to get loud, then I agree with the midrange as the ideal choice. If you are a SQL guy then you should look for a midrange/midbass speaker. These play low enough and high enough with a slight decrease in efficiency, maybe a decibel or 2. If you are an SQ guy or maybe from the Caribbean, mid bass is very important. It makes your music sound fuller and those speakers are much more efficient than any car subwoofer that you buy. Subwoofers do not play the woofer frequencies well. With that, you should select your speaker based on what your want from your system.

@LIFEINSPEEDMikeAngels- I Need a Solid Mid Bass in my vehicles Audio system, because i am tuned very low for my (4)- 18" Fi Car Audio subwoofers. My subwoofers play 12 Hz to 50 Hz very well. After 50 Hz my subwoofers fall off like a rock, so i have (8)- 6.5" Mid Bass drivers that i bought, & i have custom built enclosures for them, that play well down into the mid 30 Hz range, but for higher power handling i like to run my High Pass filter @ 50 Hz for Sound Quality Listening, & @ 80 Hz for Loud demos. For Sound Quality Listening I like to set my Low pass filter for my subwoofers @ 50 Hz, & for Loud demos the LPF is set @ 80 Hz. If i didn't have dedicated Mid Bass, (i tried), it has a massive hole in the transition from my subwoofers, to my midranges that i tried. I will say my set up is not the "Normal Car Audio system". Most subwoofer setups are tuned much higher than mine, & will play up to 100 Hz to 125 Hz, & in that situation a dedicated Mid Bass setup is not really needed. But i ❤ the Low Lowwz! To give you an idea of my No-wall 4-18" setups Low freq. Capabilities, it can do a 150 Db+ @ 19 Hz👀!

I'm looking for a good midbass speaker. I have a factory radio. I tried midrange speakers, and yeah, they are loud but lack that low end. From 50 to 100hz. I have sub, but I don't always listen to my music with the sub on. So, a good midbass would help. Now a good midbass pair with a good midrange speaker and some good tweeter is perfect together

I consider the Subwoofer range= (can play below 20 Hz), to be (1 Hz to 50 Hz), Mid Bass to be (50 Hz to 250 Hz), Midrange (251 Hz to 4K), & the Tweeter range to be 4K, & up. Edit to add this, I just Looked up : Teach Me Audio- Explained they show (60 Hz to 250 Hz) as Bass, Low Midrange as (250 Hz to 500 Hz), Midrange as (500 Hz to 2K), High Midrange as (2k to 4k). I assume Subwoofer range as (1 Hz to 60 Hz), & High freq. as 4k & up.

Mike I have the Lw65a4 & mlh 60. Exceptional midbass paired with my fi audio 15. I don't miss a note they catch 80hz & up. Subs have a bandwidth of 21hz - 63hz. That's why I run & love the traditional midbass surround/woofer

It's always the best option to have dedicated speakers for each specific purpose, but that doesn't make others options bad. I personally run mid bass speakers so that my subs can be crossed low and don't have to get worn out prematurely from the heat generated from running the higher frequencies. It's a cleaner sound as well because the subs are playing closer to their natural tuning.
