I miss the glory days... You can keep it now. I've ended up in a town that is like Rockwall USED to be - I just had to move to Arkansas to do it... Class of '81.

I've lived here for over 5 years and have never encountered racism nor are the residents unintelligent. Almost everyone I've encountered in my development is college educated and are not Texas or Dallas natives. Rockwall has some of the nicest people around and I've convinced friends who wanted to move out to the suburbs to relocate here due to the superior schools and that atmosphere. Years later, they do not regret it.

Is there anybody who has any information about the old Rockwall Rodeo grounds on Dowell Road?

Been looking for old photos of the church building as seen at the 1:24 mark in the video. Anyone have a copy of the original?

as a rockwall/Texas native that's not collage educated I would like to say mostly its classism here. the rich stay in there big homes by the lake ''which im glad'' and us working class people stay in old rockwall but now with all the carpet baggers coming in they feel the need to push us out. we don't fit there squeaky clean image of the trimmed lawn bedroom community.

Surely that wasn't an attack on me. You are the one unhappy with your life here in beautiful Rockwall, Tx.

I have seen this town go from a small close nit community that peoples family's knew each other for years and help each other to a snobby spoiled image obsessed pit.

Rockwall is WAY too developed & the only reason they are building stuff is so we can have more nail salons & strip malls & useless crap. This towns government pisses me off & everyone is mean here

lol i guess you missed the point about racism not just being a rural thing kiddo, so how about sticking to slinging pepsi and watching the choo-choo trains go by

And to racism being on the outside of the city well lol that's a joke there just as worse even more in those big homes by the lake. and just because someone is from a more rural place or southern you assume there unintelligent and racist well having a biased view on a whole group of people sounds a bit racist to me but what do I know im just a native Texan who's never been to collage.
