That somber, beautiful image of Rocky standing at the steps at 2:42. What a journey.

That shot seems to heavily imply, that, after Rocky left Adrian's grave site, he came directly to the spot where he stands at the top of the stairs gazing proudly at the statue while the snow is falling. You no doubt, have noticed that part1 of the closing credits is happy, bright and cheerful, while part 2 is somber and melancholy. That same song was played at the end of the original Rocky

Arms down now, folded behind him in repose. Somehow he seems even stronger like this

It is a great moment. If it be a movie or TV show. Or series or one. We look for the goodbye moment in a story. With the Rocky Story it was a long wonderful journey. This was a good way to say goodbye to the fans. Wonderful ending. This is how you bookend a story/saga.

Every time I drive past the art museum, somebody is running the steps and people are posing with the Rocky statue off to the right of the steps.

Amazing how a fictional character can be as real as any real person; to imbue generations of people, decades after the story, with a sense of pride, hope and belief in one's self; to never give up and not so much as win, but to be still standing at the last bell, whenever and however its rung. Fifty years from now, I know people will still be running up those steps.. Gonna fly now...

I have this movie on DVD. In the commentary Sylvester Stallone this happens all the time people run up the steps and do the Rocky fist raise. So all they needed to do was take a camera crew over to the steps. I also like how before this Rocky is by Adrian's grave and just walks and fades away.

As I watched all those people run up the steps, I always tell myself “someday.” I did go to Philly for a graduation trip, class of 2017 I may add. But I couldn’t do the steps because that’s where the NFL draft was happening at the time. But I swear, I’m going back to Philly someday and I’m gonna run those steps if it’s the last thing I do.

Recently watched all the Rocky movies in the space of 2 days and I genuinely felt emotional when it hit these credits here. All the different versions of Gonna Fly Now’s tune ringing throughout the movies are so amazing.

2:42 best choice of music. Especially after what had gone down in the film and everything that had happened to Rocky. Also, this same song was used in the first Rocky film for its credits theme as well. Talk about ending it how it first began. Love the Rocky movies to death ❤

The "Creed" movies are thoroughly OK. But Rocky's story was told, and ended here. I don't really consider the Creed movies canon...more like a parallel universe.
@kaidoking673 Жыл бұрын
Nah it’s canon it’s the same universe. But Rocky’s storyline as a fighter ended here but his storyline and his character ended in creed 2 when he met his grandson and saw his son again.
