What disqualifies it from being a documentary? In the description it is described as a documentary, so even if this didn't qualify as a documentary, or part of a series of videos in a Rocky film franchise shooting locations documentary, some would likely still refer to it as a documentary because of the video's description.

If it makes you feel any better James, that's not Stallone on top of the mountain in the helicopter shot. Stallone has an aversion to heights and had a double/stuntman stand in for him for that shot. So Sly didn't go up there either. Also, Rocky seems to fight on Christmas in "Rocky V."

I was wondering that exact thing, thanks for clarifying. It would make sense to not have the lead star fall off a cliff in production for a distance shot that you wouldn't know who it was anyway. Even if he wanted to do it as a personal accomplishment, I'm sure the production team wouldn't allow it.

I do love the “What were they thinking” reference, but as someone who has climbed mountains before, I can tell you it’s not as simple as just bringing climbing equipment. I’d say they did quite well.

The log cabin location (3:16) appears to have been a half mile almost directly east from Teton Point Turnout on Hwy 89. Not only does it line up perfectly with the mountains, but this would also have provided access and parking space for equipment trucks, trailers etc. Also, the location is in a slight depression in the ground, meaning the busy highway in the background is hidden from view.
