The crewmen seriously need some fire protection suits...every mechanized and armoured crewmen needs one of those..these are the most basic necessities for any armoured units...why haven't anyone paid attention to the dangers those guys put themselves in..?? Government..Army..??

Pffffffft. Dude, read something proper on defence technology. Tanks are meant to have a balance between firepower mobility and protection. And while sensors on tanks are important, a tank only needs following sensors: two good Infrared Imaging Sensors, three night vision sights and maybe one IFF radar. And if you really have a dearth of airborne ISR, maybe you put another battlefield surveillance radar on it, though its better to have drones, helicopters and ISTAR aircraft do that task. All that, a good software defined radio, a 125mm main cannon, a decent armour and powerpack that can give you >28 horsepower per ton is what is needed. Not the bull$hit you wrote.

Chalo if you want futuristic, then add a drone capability, unmanned turret and see-through armour (which has already been developed by Indian startup Tonbo Imaging). Other than that, maybe in next 30 years, Armies like the Americans will be in a position to replace their current tank engines and fuels with a battery and axial flux motor. Maybe after 30 years we need a better main gun for our tank, so for that, start working on an electrothermal chemical cannon today. Railgun on tanks is not happening till 2080 at least.

adnan shah No,we don't need BMP-3s,our Army already rejected the proposal made by the Russians in this regard.These BMP-2s will be eventually replaced by the F.I.C.V.s,till then they are to remain the backbone of our mechanized forces.Btw,these BMP-2s will be upgraded to BMP-2K MKIs which will include- "According to sources, the up-gradation of BMP-2 Infantry Combat Vehicles (ICV) will include increasing the mobility with change in engine, transmission, gear and suspension system, cooling system, weapons system and ammunition, gunner sighting (day and night), commander sighting, FCS, ATGM, level of protection, and maintainability."

This is a 7 yr old video now our bmp 2 are upgraded to bmp 2m with more mordern thermal sights infrared searcher atoms etc. Also better composite armour hence the bmp2m can easily stop rpg amd grenade launchers etc. And I think till ficv bmp 2m is good interim ifv
