Thank you very much for yhis video. I have the bigger one and am trying to figure out if my burrs are dead or what... I did what you showed and all is good until I try to put the holder back on the machine and line up the gage to 0. It only grind a very coarse coffee and won't give me espresso anymore.

Thank you for the comment. Maybe I can help. I would repeat the step at 1:40. Be sure to tighten the burr all the way down, back it off just a half turn or so. Power the machine on momentarily and then hand tighten the burr slowly until you hear them contact one another. Once you hear them scraping one another, back it off ever so slightly just until the scraping sound goes away. That is 0, and that is where you put the hopper on. If you just and tightened the burrs until they stopped, and then place the hopper on, what probably happened was the threads were not cleaned well enough, and you actually go hung up on some bean residue on the threads, rather than bottoming out on the bottom burr. Does that make sense? It would be mechanically impossible to not get a super fine powdery grind (turkish grind) if the burrs were that close. I would repeat the step at 1:40 turning the machine on momentarily, then spin the burr down until you hear it scrape the bottom one.

@@jfbreese Thank you so much for this quick response. I finally put it back together enough to make an espresso but the dial is not right. It does it at the 0 mark instead of 10ish... I find the challenge is setting it at the 0 mark. I don't understand the logical mechanism so it's trial and error... It's time for me to give my nice Rocky grinder some TLC... Maybe change the burrs. Again thank you and have a wonderful holiday season or a merry christmas whatever is your thing!

Hello, I have Rancilio Rocky and Rancilio Silvio. and I started to set the grain coarseness for espresso 3-5 click. now i must use 1-2 click..i bought this set about a month ago...i don't know if it's normal or what's the problem❤😂
