Rocky 5 is in the top 3 for me in the entire Rocky and Creed series. Never understood the hate for that movie.

First!👍 John G. Avildsen also directed the first Rocky film, along with the first 3 Karate Kid movies. Sage Stallone was NOT in Rocky Balboa. His son was played by Milo Ventimiglia in that film. The music in the opening recap of the fight from Rocky IV is different because the composer is different. Vince DiCola composed the score for Rocky IV, and Bill Conti(who composed the score for the first 3 films) returned to compose the score for Rocky V. Andy's is the same bar that we saw in the first & third films. The boxing glove cufflink that we see Mickey give Rocky in this film's flashback, we actually see Rocky wearing in III & IV. The guy that's training Rocky's son is the same actor & character from the first film that had to tell Rocky that Mickey gave his locker to another fighter. There was a deleted scene where we see what became of Marie, the little girl that Rocky walked home in the first film, and tried to warn about her poor behavior & attitude. Played by the same actress. Rocky Balboa negates that scene. And, YES! *PLEASE* continue with Rocky Balboa and Creed 1-3. Is the cat named after Hugh Fitzcairn, Roger Daltrey's character from Highlander: The Series?🤔 Or Leopold Fitz from Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. ?

You got it! Our cat is named after Leopold Fitz from Agents of Shield! We said there would be a reward, and the reward is... ****drumroll**** we will finish out the Rocky series the way you said. Rocky Balboa is next, and then on to Creed 1-3!

I don't care if you watch the Creed movies. But you have to watch Rocky Balboa it's the true ending of the series.

Well, they can't really remake "Rocky" because they're still making Rocky movies within the timeline of the original series! "Creed" is not its own thing; it's "Rocky VII." And "Creed II" is "Rocky VIII." Rocky isn't in "Creed III" but it might as well be "Rocky IX." "Rocky V" is not the last Rocky movie anymore. Certainly, "Rocky Balboa" is the close of the movies centering around Rocky, but there's still four more movies in this series.

Do NOT miss the final, Rocky Balboa. THEN do Creed. You really do have to takr the whole ride. BTW Creed is pretty much a perfect film. Masterclass in how to reboot a series the right way. Stallone got an Oscar nom for Creed and it really is his best performance. Close behind is Rocky Balboa. So yeah, dont quit yet.

Creed *AND* Cobra Kai have been the best franchise reboots that I've seen👍 And since I correctly guessed where their cat got its name, my prize is that they *are* going to finish out the franchise with Rocky Balboa and Creed 1-3 🥊😉

I think Stallone is way better in "Rocky Balboa" than he is in "Creed." Too many false moments in "Creed"--lots of bits where it's like "Rocky wouldn't do that", "Rocky wouldn't say that", "why is Rocky being a jerk? Rocky doesn't act like that." But "Rocky Balboa" has no such false moments.

Creed I and II are totally tied to Rocky series. You must watch the Creed I and II. You will totally enjoy and appreciate the Rocky series even more. If you do not watch Creed it is incomplete.

Just putting in my two cents about "continuing". Rocky Balboa is way better than part 5. But that's not saying much. Part 5 was horrible in my opinion (horribly acted and horribly written). I personally think the "Creed Series" is a huge let down. It was just a vanity project for Stallone in his old age. I would watch Rocky Balboa (part 6) and end it there. Even though part 6 was serviceable, I think part 4 was the ideal place to end the series. Ending at part 4 would have been better for the Rocky legacy in general.
