In case you guys don't know. Tommy Gun from the fith Rocky movie. Is a real boxer. He was would champ in the 90's. Tommy Morrison. He was even considered, the white Mike Tyson. He had incredible knock out power. Great head movement and foot work. His biggest down fall. Was his weak chin. He gets knockout quickly. But if he avoids being hit with a good shot. He most likely wins. And he is John Wayne's grandson. By the way, great video guys. You two have great conversations and the series. A+👍🏾 Peoplez 💯

Regarding siphons, if you want to avoid getting stuff in your mouth, you put one hose from the tank to the can, then you put a second hose into the tank and seal around it with some cloth or plastic, Now, blowing into the second hose will force the liquid into the first hose since there is nowhere else for the pressure to go, and as soon as enough liquid is in it siphoning will start. Now you can remove the seal and the second hose.

Glad you liked the series. The one thing in the series that bothers me, is when Rocky gets an agent and he gets him a commercial, that agent set him up for failure, even though Rocky doesn't read well, maybe give him a script to study, so maybe he wouldn't have to use the "dummy cards" and things would have gone a lot easier. 2nd, the agent having signed Rocky to a contract, should have known his client better and used his strengths in things that he is better at, like photo/stills and voice over work. That agent set him up for failure and that wasn't a good agent.

There were three fights between Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier in the 1970's. While Ali won the latter two, the first one in 1971 was historic, as it was the first time that two undefeated champions fought (Ali had the title stripped from him four years earlier because he refused to be drafted in the Army for Vietnam), first time a major fight was held on closed-circuit television, and the first time Ali was not only defeated in a fight, a unanimous decision in Frazier's favor, but the first time he was knocked down.

The fight you see in this movie was filmed right after an actual boxing match. They were given permission to use the cameras and everything. After the match they told the audience what was going on, about a Rocky Movie and if they wanted to stay and watch and be in it. No body left, so what you're seeing are real people cheering and enjoying the moment.

Women weaken legs; totally accurate. No sexuals leading up to a fight if you want your legs strong. You pump one out, your legs are gonna be heavier and slower.

In the first movie, I think an often overlooked important line for Adrian is delivered after she surprises Rocky with Butkus and he ask her what he eats. She says “He eats little turtles.”, lol. It really shows how comfortable she has become in her own skin because of Rocky to show her wit like that so quickly and easily, and shows her sense of humor has been similar to Rocky’s all along. IMO Adrian’s character development in general gets a little less credit than it deserves because it’s overshadowed by Rocky’s so much.

The hat thing might not have been scripted-Sly could have alibed a line-he did in 2 when that “luv u Rocky” scream came from the crowd and he yelled back “luv u 2”
Creed I and II are totally tied to Rocky series. You must watch the Creed I and II. You will totally enjoy and appreciate the Rocky series even more. If you do not watch Creed it is incomplete.

Stallone did not like the way it ended with Rocky V. That is why he decided to make Rocky Balboa. He gave Rocky V a score of Zero out of Ten.

Oh, and regarding the end of the first fight, Apollo won by split decision (rounds Apollo won:rounds Rocky won) -- 9:6, 8:7, 7:8

Interesting how Rocky not only has home ring advantage in the first two movies but Apollo INSISTS on it in the second film!! Because he really wanted to not only humiliate Rocky but do so in front of his home crowd! RIP, Philadelphia Spectrum.

The first and especially third movies make it sound like the fighter/manager can just choose who they want the champ to fight against. I thought in real life the champ has to fight whoever the WBA/WBC/IBF/whatever tells them to...or else. Also what's really interesting in that in real life the Ring Magazine title/belt gets hardly any attention yet in the Rocky universe that's the only title/belt that exists.

Rocky fought some top contenders and some discretionary opponents. They were good fighters. But they were easy for Rocky based on his fighting style .
@JohnSmith-zw8vpАй бұрын
@@NY1054Cool My point is though in real life there's no way it'd work that way. The governing bodies would insist the champ defend their title against the or at least one of the top contenders.
@NY1054CoolАй бұрын
@@JohnSmith-zw8vp it happens in real life . Examples can be given . Rocky did fight some top ranked fighters. Hand picked does not mean bad opponents or push overs . They were good but were not like Lang . Rocky KO the German champion.
@JohnSmith-zw8vpАй бұрын
@@NY1054Cool I mean in the real world, not in the Rocky movies.
@NY1054CoolАй бұрын
@@JohnSmith-zw8vp It’s happened in real life too where a champion is selectively matched up with opponents. They work it within the ranking system with their selective matching . Rocky III brought that reality into the movie . Rocky was selectively matched up with ranked opponents with some being mandatory and others discretionary . Rocky won due to natural ability while not having the eye of the tiger. Apollo helped Rocky get it back for his rematch with Lang . Rocky became a complete fighter.

Every time I go back to Philadelphia I visit the Rocky steps and eat at Geno Steaks. Head over to Pittsburgh for a while when I am in the area too. Pennsylvania has so much history you just have to know where to find it. A lot more Hollywood movies were filmed in Philadelphia too over the many years. Can't forget Squirrel Hill either and the great Mr Rogers.

The original Rocky 3 statue was moved down to street level and a new statue was recently put in at the top of the steps. Friend of mine and her son made the walk up the steps a year or two ago when they went to Philly for their birthdays. Walking up those steps is one of my bucket list items.

GREAT REACTION! Watch the alternative ending showing Rocky Balboa winning the decision! PLEASE, PLEASE watch Stallone's 1981 "Nighthawks" THEE MOST UNDERRATED COP MOVIE OF ALL TIME - I promise. New York Cop Deke DaSilva (Stallone) fights international terrorism in America 20 years before 9-11-2001! ENJOY!

Leonard Newman was a famous artists from the 70's and 80's. His work on sports and stars were his better known works. The freeze frame converted to art was his. He was also in the movie. He is the man in white sketching while Apollo is training.
