Personally, CSM changed the way I trade coz it focuses the right currency pair to trade at specific time. Just don"t use CSM in isolation, use it with other technical indicators and support & resistance, and price action

Actually you can create your own currency strength meter.Create a simple matrix on excel then then use 21 and 89 ema so you actually determining the strength of a currency on a trend basis which I think is very Powerful. Use the moving averages on a daily chart and 4hour chart

You're contradicting yourself. You say currency strength indicators only show the strength of a currency after the market has moved, but then, later on you say "in order to see if GBP is stronger than USD (In your example) we need to see the market pushing bullish". So, basically the trend has already happened... Well, it's clear that there's no way to know if the currency is strong or weak without any movement. And by the way, CS indicators makes it easier to identify (Probably even earlier before you notice, since you're only looking for movements in different charts), especially for beginners... It's easier to look at a single chart displaying all currencies at the same time than switching charts looking for movements to conclude which one is strong/weak...

Hi,guess you dun understanding what he is trying to put across the knowledge..currency meter are lagging indicator..i been using it,trust me, it doesnt help but confused you more in trading. there are ways to know if the currencies is strong or weak. I have found the skill set to that. u be surprise that are alot more just to using currency meter to trade decision. be open minded to learn.most trader failed as refusal to learn or they think they know better...meaning..i know already..this is going to put you into a close mind to learn. just be happy to learn as he is putting effort to teach you good stuff....be kind and be humble...cheers

DXY is a math formula, it's built in order to take a weighted average which measures relative strength of Dollar vs major currency. Euro currency has heaviest weighted in this formula. Now you can trade it that way, but it's better if you look at specific currency pair rather than a mere math average formula. And if you put it in the wrong context, trade with DXY can be disaster if you choose the wrong correspondent currency. For example: in a typically risk off environment, while DXY bullish because indeed USD is getting stronger vs majority of currencies, but if you pair it with JPY then you might not get and reward.

Even without a strength meter we use structure which is previous/historical price action, so saying indicators are "useless" because they provide data after price has moved/closed doesn't really make sense. No indicator works in isolation, they are best used in confluence within a broader trading system. Indicators deffo ain't useless 😂

Why did you choose those pairs to make the comparison. You could of chosen eur/usd , aud/usd, usd/jpy. Why usd/cad with cad/jpy and gbp/usd. Aren't you manipulating the currency to fit the narrative.

Indeed. I think better explanation would need some fundamental reason behind the scene. At the time he recorded this video, it's a yield catching trade across the market. For the Dollar at the time, we have rising yield, better recovery, fairly safe as well. CA was getting huge benefit from rising oil. So these 2 are the best among major currency. It's not wise to go short a beast and long a monster. We should, instead, go short an unarmed and go long a monster. Lowest rate currency at the time are JPY, EUR and CHF. Perfect carry trade is to match that 2 group of high & rising rate vs low & falling rate.
