Why can’t both be held accountable? The NFL takes the talent out of these neighborhoods and makes BILLIONS of dollars. One is saying the NFL is responsible but they can use their resources, platform and DOLLARS to help uplift the communities they seek talent from.,

Silvio Perez at times players can go out in the communities and let kids know that drugs, gangs, guns, etc are not important. They don't do those things and they are successful men. I mean, it's a start. Sometimes you and your ideas grow together. Like Serena opened up a tennis court in Southeast D.C., she hasn't been back since, or her sister. They have to go back at some point or the kids won't get it. Same here, don't do something and stop, keep going and figure it out eventually.

From the very beginning, kneeling during a song performed at a football game was not going to be a very productive form of protest and it has proven to be just that: High Risk - Low Reward. This partnership probably won't be very productive, either, as for social justice. But what it potentially will do is paint the NFL in a good light surrounding the issue just as Nike has been painted in good light. And Jay-Z, intentionally or unintentionally, has turned this into a bad cop (Kap) good cop (Jay-Z) situation and will reap the benefits of playing the Good Cop role, favor withe the NFL, while Collin reaps the benefit of playing the bad cop, favor with the African-American Community and those who support it.

The time has come for Americans to own up to the fact, they value entertainment more than they do human life and nothing exemplifies this fact more than the reaction of the people, when Kaepernick took a knee at the super bowl & for (of all things) the illegal police killing of BLACK AMERICANS. You would have thought ALL AMERICANS would have understood this (as poor whites have died this way too) and immediately got behind it. The truth is, i think you guys would have, if it wasn't for the programming of BUSINESS AS USUAL. Image for an instance if all the football players had taken a knee at the same time as Kap, It would have resonated around the world and NO ONE could have stopped it! Not even the NFL! After watching this video in its entirety, I’ve come to realize a couple of things. Business wise, it makes perfect sense for Jay-Z to strike this deal with the NFL. It represents a bigger platform for Jay-Z, Rocnation and it’s artists to broaden their exposure and to capitalize in this opportunity. My only issue is that he and the commissioner is trying to paint it as something else. The NFL’s only motive is finding a way to prevent players from protesting during games. Telling someone when and where he or she should protest is counterproductive, Jay-Z should understand that. The commissioner refuses to answer to what a player chooses to kneel in the future. I am so disappointed in all those media personalities that were at that “press conference” for not pressing him on that issue, with exception of 2 who posed that question. This deal will only benefit the NFL and RocNation. This does nothing for the movement.
