Rod bolt stretch/torque engine building tips!

In this video I explain the importance of rod bolt stretch and how to do it. I show the procedure I use in my engine builds. Since not all torque wrenches are 100% equal when they all should be, it’s not a perfect world and they are not all the same. The actual stretch of the rod bolt is the right way to secure that faster and it’s important! The rod used here is a Manley turbo tuff rod and we aim for .006 thou stretch per manufacture request form spec sheet! They asked for .0058-.0062 so we aimed in the middle at .006. Man I’m trying to see stick crv diffs hit 7.9’s and 8’s , talk about that, the ep3 was cool too, more on car builds 😂. Video was informative though, thank you

We went 8.4 and 1.3 60fts on a Crv diff in one of my customers car! One guy has gone 7s on a Crv diff also already!
