C'mon Rod you gotta help me out bro, can you do a quick tutorial on what you were doing towards the end of this video please
@truthmanifestingtruth4 жыл бұрын
NUGG1169 you may not appreciate this advise like it is intended but for what it is worth...work on what you can hear. Even getting and mastering what you can hear sets you up for what you cannot hear...and it sets you up to have your signature sound.
@NUGG11694 жыл бұрын
@@truthmanifestingtruth I appreciate you very much. I agree with the advice, no offense taken... I mean I heard what Rod was doing & jus needed a lil assistance... do you have any tips to improve my ear?? I'm down to learn from anyone #salute #respect
@Belte234 жыл бұрын
@@NUGG1169 How you coming along? I too struggle picking things up by ear. I use to just want "the answers". Not saying that's what you're doing but that was me. Truthing & Trolling is right keep trying to pick it up by ear. Tip #1 Utilize the playback speed feature in YT, works wonders. Tip #2 Actively listen, meaning try and imagine the intervals, whole step/ half step. Listen if a note is being plucked or hammered on etc, sometimes this gives us clues into fingering position Tip #3 Break a lick down in small little pieces. Alot of times we think we hear a fast run and thinks its fast all the way thru, there are actual little pauses in licks, little "connection points". Bite size pieces. These are just some things that have helped me. I'm starting to realize the more I'm able to break down someones lick by ear the better I get at playing the lick I hear in my head. Have you ever jammed along to a song but sang the lick with your voice instead of your guitar? All of those notes are correct. All of those licks are fire however we need to access them. In the end all you ever need is within. Good luck ✌
