Hey quick question! Could I use pink foam as a "deck?" Like i glue 2 pieces together, cut it, than put carpet, than glue it to the boat. Would that work?

Hey brother, I've recently found your channel and I've enjoyed watching your builds and learning how to do some things. I do have a question for you though. I have a 15' semi v MonArk jon boat. Can I remove the middle seat without worrying about the sides bowing in? I'm mainly wanting an open bottom inside and I'm not sure I want to build decks and such for it.

I don’t want to store rods, I want to take the two center compartments and make 2 with that big center door, I want to move my trolling motor battery’s up front I can add support to the side lockers. I Need the center locker lid. I don’t like the rear weight 3 batteries, 34 gal fuel, 3 gal oil, hydraulic steering, with a pxs 150 hanging on. I doesn’t get water in the back it just sit low. If I get those 2 trolling motor batteries move the charger and go to lithium batteries that’s a ton. My 2 trolling motor battery are 88# each

Why do you use 3000 rivets instead of just welding it?

Tiny Boat Nation Oh you’re right. My bad. It’d actually be less to get a dope Oldtown Sportsman Autopilot 120 than to spend 6-7K on a DIY boat mod lol. The minimum for a good boat mod is 2K that doesn’t factor in motors and the cost of the actual boat itself. Oh don’t forget the headache of troubleshooting during the actual process of modding. Yeah it’s dope!!! But I’d rather just spend way less and get an amazing powered kayak.

Tiny Boat Nation I’m going to assume by gain you mean a spiritual one because as soon as you modify a product you devalue it unless it’s a restoration from trash. If you buy a new Jon for let’s say 1200ish you’re spending close to 4000 after modding and don’t forget you need a motor of some kind lol. and then your boat is worth nothing but possibly a fine lol. Have you seen the OldTown Sportsman Autopilot 120? How can you talk shit about a Kayak with a remote controlled trolling motor lol. I didn’t say your shit was wack. Just not worth it when you can get a beast of a kayak for the same price and own something that keeps its value. Modding is a great solution if you’re too broke to buy an entry level bass boat and you can’t stand the idea of having a gnarly kayak.

Why do you not measure anything? You have a number of holes with shy e.d. potential for tear out. And you should really consider deburring your holes and between the material.
