Rod Roddy as "Rodweena," the winner of a beauty contest in one of the "Showcase Showdowns" on The Price is Right. Rod had a ball performing this stunt. He loved adding humor to the show. I was lucky enough to be with him in his dressing room and on stage this day. A loyal, true, extremely generous friend.

In this showcase skit, Rod Roddy portrayed Rodwenna, a beauty queen who helped young models win a beauty contest. Unlike his alter-ego, he (in every taping) actually wore glasses, to the point, where he was nearsighted.

Holly was my favorite model back in the day I even named my doll after her when I was little. Holly Dolly was my favorite doll when i was little. I used to watch Price is Right with my grandma back in the 90’s. Still watch it today in my 30’s. Ah the good old days!

Johnny olson, rod roddy, and rich Fields was my three favorite announcers. Rest in peace Bob Barker. Now you’re in heaven with two of your prices right sidekicks. George Gray on the other hand I hate to say it but he sucks. Whoever is in charge of the price is right ought to be ashamed of himself firing Rich fields. He was great as Rod Roddy‘s successor just like Rod Roddy was johnny olson’s successor. Well, at least Rich is still alive.
