I met Rod in December 1976. They say never meet your heroes but I'll say Rod was absolutely brilliant. We chatted for about 10 minutes at his hotel after a concert at Newcastle City Hall.

I met Rods dad and brother at Finsbury park tube with my dad who used to play for Rods dad's football team Highgate red wings pre War and just after the War
