This song always reminds me of my dad. He was a huge Rod fan (a fellow Celtic supporter too- he claimed to have seen him at matches when he was younger!) and used to put it on when I was a child, we used to dance to it. He passed away a couple of years ago this May. I'm getting married in October and am going to have this as the father-daughter dance song (not very traditional I know!). I'll be dancing with my uncles. 💙

I’m not very old but my parents were both older hippies. This song is melted in my soul like the summer sun of all the days of my childhood. Vacations cross country with old rod stewart songs on cassette lol. Thank god for music like this that I can share with my kids. They will hear these songs and remember everything immediately from their childhood like I do..... to me that’s a timeless song ❤️

I was 19, on my first posting in the RAF from training as an RAF Apprentice, at Halton. It was RAF Leconfield, near Beverley, Yorkshire, and Rod singing 'Maggie' featured every Thursday night, in the NAAFI Disco. I was in heaven. I'm now 71, but not much more mature, and this is just MAGNIFICENT, bringing some symmettry and connection to the younger self i wish I could speak to now. Grew up in a campus neighborhood and was about ten when I first heard one of the college kids playing this… it was burned into my memory and is my favorite song from childhood.. takes me back every time.
