The more I watch Piper, the more I think he wasn't playing a character. He was playing himself, wonderfully eccentric till the end. The panther on the shirt didn't need a caption, it was / he was the legend killer.

I wish I would of met him because he was the reason I even watch WWF in the first place.i was hooked as a teen watching Pipers Pit.Love the insults on his guess and fights on the pit.I haven't seen as of lately of piper being disrespectful to guess when they want to speak into the mic piper let a little speech and pull away the mic and starts talking trash.he used to do that on his pit but no one has those clips of him doing that.i haven't seen him doing that ever since the 80's.

Piper didn't defeat Hogan because he couldn't, that's the only way he could win is on a count out because Piper took shortcuts & always cheat & double ambush Hogan with Orndorff or Cowboy Bob Orton so it was never a pinfall win for Hogan on Piper
