Thanks for this detailed demo. Love the way you are deftly handling the Lav. I have seen that initially the Lav fell out from its place and this is a problem that other users have complained of. For long term use do you advocate use of tape to hold the lav in place?

Hi, thanks for your question! I recommend glueing it on the headset. Both the lav mic and headset holder are pretty inexpensive. It’s also always good to have a spare lav mic and holder near you just in case. I super glue most my equipment together that are attached to moving parts and always have a backup that can be used as a replacement in seconds just in case something goes wrong.

I think it's exceptional, but still sounds too mushy for me since I'm spoiled with the sound of my blue yeti.

Hi, yes - bigger mics sound better! I use a Rode Procaster or Shure SM7B for my videos.

Would you know if you can plug them into mobile phones and use your mobile phone as the main speaker? 🦖
@ContentCreationStudioAcademy Жыл бұрын
I haven't tried that yet, but it should work, if the app you are using to record or livestream has the option to choose the phone's speaker as an output.

Do you think other microphone would latch on the headset ? Like the deity lav ?
@ContentCreationStudioAcademy3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jon, sorry for replying just now. I don't have the Deity Lav, but I tried the headset with other lavalier mics like my Shure MVL Lav and it fits perfectly. Most lavaliers have the same circumference/ size.

@@ContentCreationStudioAcademy Thank you. 1. Was there something you did not like about the Rode Lav Headset? 2. If the Rode Lav was really close to the mouth, do you think it would sound as warm as your more expensive mic? 3. What's the main expensive non-lavalier mic you use here? You sound warm! Thanks Content Creation Studio Setup!

@@ngo1 If I'm not recording stationary, I use the Rode Wireless Go II. Without the Lav, but with the fluffy included windscreen. The Rode Lav is too tiny to sound like my other external mics, even when close to my mouth. Lavalier mics just sound different, mainly because of their size. When recording stationary at my desk, I use a Rode Procaster. I used to use the Rode NTG3 with a Rodecaster Pro, but I had to close the windows so it won't pick up the outside noise, that's why I switched to the Rode Procaster with a Behringer UMC202HD.
