I think the Rode Lavalier Go mic sounds better than the Rode SmartLav+ video microphone because it catches the fullness of the voice better. The SmartLav+ sounds closer to mono comparably speaking.

There a video on Lav Go Mic on the Rode's channel, and they show exactly how to install it. I know because i just watched it 30min ago! :-D It's the one with a woman as the host.
