Hi! I just discovered your channel in the past week or so and have loved it so far! I have had the NT1A for a year and a half or so as my first condenser for recording music at home. I've been a little self conscious about my recordings (first song is coming out in a couple weeks!) since the NT1A gets so much hate online and that's what I used on the vocals. I definitely had to be pretty aggressive with a de-esser. I'm glad to hear you liked it for the most part! Do you still like the mic in 2024? Curious for your thoughts, as the online hate for it has really made me feel the need to upgrade to get better, more professional sounding vocals on my songs! Again, I love your channel! Thanks for all your reviews!

Currently using a 30$ Shure SV100 and I'm thinking of upgrading either for the NT1-A or the Shure SM58. My concern is: my room. I finally tried this Mic after having bought it two years ago - seriously! I tried it with an XJR female connector to the mic and a jack plug to the mixer. Result. Nothing! Right at the start you said it was a female XLR to male XLR cable. I have so many cables, I am not sure if one came with the box or not, but tomorrow I shall connect said cable to the mixer which has a Phantom 48v power supply. I am praying that it will work and if it does, I will be eternally grateful for the information at the BEGINNING of your video and not left until twenty minutes in or omitted altogether, as I found with other reviews. I was able to actually pick this off of Craigslist for only $100! I HAD to get it, with a deal like that. It works pretty well on my PC but I had some complications with setting it up. For example, It only plays from one side of a pair of headphones. Big bummer, thus, all my recordings are in Mono. I know you are not familiar with Windows; but I was hoping you could help? I have the Innogear Phantom Power supply with an XLR to 3.5 mm for a microphone. Should I, instead, get an XLR to USB adapter/cord and use that? What do you think?

Hi, i just wanted to say i like your videos but i have some advices if you dont mind, each video i saw about you reviewing something it's pratically the same words or sentences, try to add a funky music in the background but not in all the video to hear what's the microphone really sounds like, and i can see u're a well living person so do not hesitate to add some jokes because poeple love who make them laugh, i wanted to say that because reviewing each time microphones with such price it's very difficult to get that money back with videos, anyways keep your good work you deserve a lot more than 20K subs, wish you all the best.
@Liowen8 жыл бұрын
Music in the background of a mic review would be a bad idea honestly, I have seen it done on others and it is annoying trying to pick out any background noise with something constantly plinking in the background. And honestly the ones I have seen it from get the microphone gave to them so my guess is that they are using the music to cover up something wrong with the product, I would rather hear the product for what it is and form my opinion on it that way.
@Podcastage8 жыл бұрын
JEBER. You're right. I do repeat a lot of the same stuff in these videos, and I can definitely see that getting repetitive. I have just been in a constant struggle to get these videos as short and to the point as possible while providing all the useful information I can. I have come across one too many review video that consist of 5 minutes of jokes and 30 seconds of testing. I prefer to get right into the tests. I will try to add some jokes in though. As far as adding music to the background, I agree with LIOWEN. That would make it very difficult to hear the actual microphone, and the noise generated by it. I pride myself in providing as accurate a representation of the microphone as possible, with no processing, and nothing to confuse the people researching the mics.

I'm always hopeful that there will be a sticker in the box just to see what you'll do with it, haha. Your videos have been a huge help in my research for getting my first mic setup!
