I've had the mic for about 6 months or so now and you've answered some questions I've had for a while that I couldn't confirm or get the answers to anywhere else thank you man

I have a Q2U in my go bag. Great mic for the price. It does not need phantom power

I have the same and just started using it an audio interface. I’m looking to upgrade

The rode podmic with the wind screen sounds amazing and wayyy better than the Shure. Great video man! Keep going!

The samson q2u does not require phantom power. I use mine without it and it works perfectly fine.

I use the Podmic on a Zoom Podcast P8 and P4. For my voice it works great. I do keep the clown nose on it all the time.

The Q2u does not need phantom power since it is a dynamic microphone that can be connected via XLR, apart from being a USB microphone which is handy.

Sounds awesome, great review. How much base do you add and do you also boot treble?

All I do is select the rode podmic setting on the Rodecaster Pro II. Rode has a built-in preset that makes it pop a little more.

I actually really dislike the podmic audio wise. It looks great and build quality is excellent however I find the audio really shallow and lacking weight. I think the behringer xm8500 is far better value or even the Samson Q2U. You do have the podmic sounding better than most people though

I found I like mine best with the external pop filter and a little bass boost.
