I have the NTG3, was thinking of getting an SM7B, this video reassured me that I don't need to at all, the ntg3 sounds so much better, brighter and overall better

It’s a Condenser mic so keep that in mind you will pick up for room because they are very sensitive the are! Also when i shot that video I didn’t have a Cloud lifter to help me with the lack of gain available in my RodeCaster Pro.

@@keithbennett5179 Yes, of course, I use it all the time for foley and field recording, I just never used it for podcasting purposes before. Worst case, I'll just slap RX on the recording to remove what I need to remove. Sidenote, I do have the cloudlifter and it shocked me how many audio engineers have not even heard of it. Mind-boggling.

Well audio is a huge industry with kit’s of parts and pieces. Cloud lifter is common with those who uses low gain Dynamic Microphones

these are the 3 mics im having trouble choosing from haha. Love the pod mic but honestly doesn't look as sexy as the SM7B, so id happily pay extra for that better sound and looks. And also looking to get the NTG3 for recording audio for my media company, seems like it would be a big help.

I like the SM7 b because it’s Dynamic microphone so it does not pick up a bunch of room noise. They are all great microphones! Thanks for visiting the channel.

Which is the New version of NTG3 with battery???

Actually it's the NTG4+ it is on screen at 9:34 mark in the video. It retails for around $447.00. I do not own that one but plan to add it to my kit in 2023!
