Did you guys get the bundle with the podmic, rodecaster pro, the headphones, and the mic arm?

Rode put together our podcasting gear for us, but you can explore this exact bundle on our website: www.ormsdirect.co.za/rode-podcaster-pro-system

Hi there, I have my Rode Caster Pro and I absolutely love it,I feel empowered easy to use. I have a few microphones. 1.Shure sm7b with a cloudlifter aka cL-1 that is absolutely delightful. 1.Warm Audio wa87 also very delightful. I need your help with something that I can’t seem to fix.. So I have all my input and all the settings to drive the Rode Caster Pro to the micro sd card But when I pull the card to put it on my MacBook Pro to play it back to hear it doesn’t sound the same, the quality that I got out the Rode Caster Pro is not the same and the volume output is lower much lower.. How dose your podcast audio sound after you finish your recording and put it into another daw???

Hi there, thanks for the question. So our audio sounds the same when it comes out of the Rodecaster (referring to the mix quality), but the volume is significantly lower as you described. We take it into Fairlight and boost the gain, add a bit of compression and maybe a hard limiter to ensure nothing goes over -6DB and then we are golden. Because of the microphones we are using the quality of the audio does not deteriorate when we boost the volume in our DAW. We still get that lovely proximity effect. Please also check your settings in the Rodecaster. We believe there is a setting in the menu where you can opt out of baking the on-board mix into the files that are outputted to the micro-SD. We hope this helps!

LOVED this review. By the way, what's the music playing in the background?
@OrmsTV5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! That is great to hear. The music in the background is "Me and You" by Oliver Michael from his album, "One Moment".
