Racehorses carry the lightest weight possible, I would imagine the same applies to barrel racers. Do you design your saddles with that in mind? It would be an interesting (and important) study to figure out how much 5 lbs, 10 lbs, 15 lbs adds to the time when you're dealing with 100ths of a second.
