loved this revival when I saw it on Broadway, glad to see it's in London--it is, however, *very* weird hearing british people try to be southern, it's got like an uncanny valley effect

There are quite a few Americans in the cast.

Meanwhile in America Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein are spinning so fiercely in their graves it’s keeping the electricity on all the way in London.

@suzisweet6913 Sorry to hear about your experience. I feel what they've achieved is incredible. Highlighting the darkness within the musical without changing a word. But I have heard a lot of people didn't take to it well. This revival is more like a play with music.

Oh yes you should ! I'm a huge theatre lover and this piece stuck into me in different ways and levels. I agree this is extremely experimental, and you cant anticipate that until actually watching it. For instance, my gf completely hated it. But, Fish exploration into the American tale is in the level of Tennesse Williams and Arthur Miller. I cant stop thinking about the ending omg. Give this a try !

Oklahoma! is and will always be a musical no matter how it’s staged or lit. It’s just being done in a very in a very dramatic and artsy way

To me it was phenomenal!!!!!! I had never seen anything related to it before, so I think those who might be attached to the original will not get the “high” they’d expect. It is very different from standard musical - love the use of the lighting ❤

First black girl went way overboard. Song sucked. Hope that wasn't her "costume". "Diversity" HILARITY, main characters were simple country HARD WORKING people. What is that fat one supposed to be? Curly did a good job, interesting take, but gone entirely bad. Go WOKE, go broke. Liked the choreography, more authentic than anything I've seen. Generally a great idea, but gone sour.
