Sir I have a doubt kindly explain, like how we have LHS=RHS so like how we added x on the RHS (as the age of the person that was counted extra) similarly we should add x on the LHS as well because everything was counted 8 times and one person's age was counted one extra time so x should be added both places na?

Sir, set is a collection that cannot contain duplicate values/elements.

In the question it's written set so no duplicate number allowed and there r total 9 persons so there should be 9 values whereas in the given set there is only 8 values which means one number is repeated .

Sir m little confused here why x = 316, couldnt it be anything of form 316+8k ? then why specifically 316

As per question it has to be one value in the set. min value of set is 312 and max is 319. if you put k=1 it would be 324 which is more than max hence k is 0 only so 316

cause we need no. from the set which leaves 4 as a remainder to fit in the equation, hence we are limited to select 316 only.

Bcoz 316 is only number among the set which makes 2524+316 is multiple of 8. No other number added with 2524 is multiple of 8. Also multiple of 8 is necessary since , common divisor in equation is 8
